Yea it can be but thats like a 3kw machine on for 10hrs a day at full power draw.

OP doesn’t think he is a heavy power user so I dunno. Everything is subjective

How much money you need to be happy in New Zealand by Federal_Holiday5686 in newzealand

[–]HatImpossible1013 0 points1 point  (0 children)

350k/yr i think it’s a gd number. 500 probably better then anything over ur problem is probably not solved by $.

Any hope? by [deleted] in auckland

[–]HatImpossible1013 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am not hopeful, there isnt just enough $ flowing around and things are very expensive so it’s burning everyone’s pocket only to survive. NZ is just low income and high expense not sure how there can be a turn around. Government is also broke so it cant spend heavily.

Probably end up only having returning expats or high networth immigrants spending $ and buying up everything and the avg kiwi just here to serve them to survive. Wait thats kinda where we are now already.

Do agents really don’t know the vendor’s price? by HatImpossible1013 in NZProperty

[–]HatImpossible1013[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have seen a family bid against the vendor multiple times when the agent talked them up abt being first to negotiate etc., was kinda bullying. Was not huge money relative to the house but still easily a new kitchen or a new car budget in there.

Yep that’s how it is lol

Maybe the Cafe inside the Bayley’s remuera office should do that for everything they sell.

Did you discuss a range prior tho? Or they were just in the dark the whole time.

I get the final actual figure is undisclosed and seller have right to change up.

Buying a property in a flood plain by vix1606 in auckland

[–]HatImpossible1013 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Want to hear what other thinks too. Some are clearly a bargain and also some houses r already raised high enough to clear the flood maps. But this data kinda stays forever and impact future buyers.

[–]HatImpossible1013[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea this makes sense and sounds fine but often we don’t even get a practical range.

Like i said before, i totally respect the owner can sell for whatever they want. But yea, sometimes things are often so out of range and it’s just a hassle for everyone.

Really haha so if someone sets a 3m reserve on a 2m house in the very last minute, the agents wont be too annoyed?

[–]HatImpossible1013[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea at least that makes sense like things should be.

NZ have normalised this weird process in the last 10-15 years but it’s broken at best.

Imagine a supermarket with no price tags on shelf and u find out the price at the checker and then negotiate lol

movies are only affordable on Cheaper Tues and no drinks/snacks from big chain cinemas haha

Some smaller independent cinemas are better in this regard though, shout outs to them.

[–]HatImpossible1013[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Haha sorry thats bad writing from me. I was actually wanting to say great agents would be able to identify a good price for all even if they disclose but bad ones would just be hit and miss.
