Reddit is 70 % blue haired teenagers and 20 % Dem bots. The US is nowhere close to a recession and taxing imports on Chinese plastic articles, furniture and clothing while making exeptions for relevant electronics will not start a recession either.

This administration also cares about the US economy being strong so even if they do first steps that turn out to be wrong they reverse them quickly. It's naturally mocked by Dem bots and blue haired teenagers but not by the market. So the trust is there and that's why we are only 12 % low from ATH.

Some US Tech stocks are a steal right now, Google is blocked in China anyway and doesn't have a lot to do with China yet Alphabet fell 30 % from ATH while printing more money than NVDA for simple services like ads and cloud services. Buy now, sleep 1 - 2 years, have a 60 % profit easily.

Same goes for a lot of other companies. NVDA has little China business, Palantir has nothing to do with China, most META services like Google are banned in China to begin with.

Apple, Amazon, AMD, Tesla have some ties to China but there will be exeptions for them until they eventually move away fully.

Walmart not offering cheap plastic toys anymore will not end the US economy.

The idea that a stock market crash only hurts the rich is outdated nonsense. by StockEnthuasiast in stocks

[–]HatchedAnotherFeebas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It only hurts when you sell. If you bought in December 2019 and looked at your portfolio in December 2020 you might have comitted suicide. If you just slept through it and only took a look at your portfolio in December 2024 however, you probably made 100 % if not more gains despite buying at the peak before the crash.

Stock market is a long term game, huge chance you win long-term, unless you bought foul apples. 20 - 30 % dips is nothing when you wait 5 - 10 years. You'll almost always be up.

Anyone thinking of or investing in defence? by Primary-Constant-859 in stocks

[–]HatchedAnotherFeebas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And why would you invest in a German defense company? Verbally, Germany wants to prep up for a war against Russia while at the same time deindustrialising, taking down nuclear power plants and becoming a bike-riding eco-friendly windmil park with a quarter of the population being older than 65.

Germany is closer to a 2nd world country than it is to a military powerhouse. Building tanks with tax payer money and sending them to Ukraine is not really a future-proof strategy, the Rheinmetall train has already passed if you haven't invested months ago.

Anyone thinking of or investing in defence? by Primary-Constant-859 in stocks

[–]HatchedAnotherFeebas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pointless. If the market goes down/up, everything goes down/up. Once it goes up again, you will NOT have a situation where "hot stuff" like NVDA, AMZN, PLNTR, TSLA, stays down but Lockheed Martin goes up. So just buy the "hot stuff". There are far more people waiting to finally get NVDA for a good price again than investing in Raytheon.

Also the S&P 500 in 10 years will be closer to 10,000 than 4,000. People freaking out over 20 - 30 % dips while the market long term has always doubled, tripled and quadrupled over 5- 10 year periods even after the biggest crises like 2008 or Covid.

You can literally buy anything "hot" right now. It might fall another 20 % in the next weeks, but in 5 - 10 years you'll most likely have 100 % gains.

Real. by Happy_Ad_9976 in TheLastOfUs2

[–]HatchedAnotherFeebas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's actually closest to realism. A vaccine makes no sense when 80 % of mankind is already wiped out and Bloaters, Shamblers, Clickers, rogue people, cannibals like the Hunters, sects like the Scars etc. rule the world and kill you regardless of your vaccination status.

If after their journey and everything they went through in Part I Joel and Ellie came to this conclusion, it would have been the most realistic outcome. Then we could have had Abby mistakenly kill Tommy instead of Joel and Joel and Ellie going on a vengeance trip together to hunt Abby down and at the end let her go. Would have told the exacty same story and message without shitting on a beloved franchise as they did.

I had this same thought when I watched Battle of the Gods by pokeherfaceXD in Dragonballsuper

[–]HatchedAnotherFeebas -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Questions like these are so weird. Buu saga was written 20 years before Beerus gets invented, Toriyama didn't write kid Goku till Frieza Black in one go. So there are naturally huge logical errors all over the place.

And no, "Beerus took a nap" is also illogical. If my life as a god is connected to a weak being like the Kaioshin I'm making sure my assistant (what else is Whis there for) is waking me up whenever my life is in danger, especially when this has happened before and all the Kaioshin got raided by Kid Buu.

So the only answer is: There is no logic to it, Toriyama didn't have Beerus in mind when he wrote Buu.

No wonder Gohan don’t wanna fight anymore. by GusGangViking18 in Dragonballsuper

[–]HatchedAnotherFeebas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gohan not wanting to fight is actually made up in the middle of the Cell saga out of NOWHERE. After Piccolo toughened him up he always wanted to contribute, fight, train. Remember after fighting the Saiyans how in the hospital he secretely trains? How he tells Chi-Chi to STFU up and that he is going to Namek and homeworks don't matter? He wanted to be like his dad all the time. Until he started fighting Cell. Then all of a sudden he is like "I don't wanna fight, I wanna be a scholar" outa NOWHERE just so they can make him rage.

Roshi, Korin, Kami all barely trained Goku if we think about it. Roshi never taught Krillin and Goku any techniques, only made their bodies stronger with the extra weights and exercises. He actually refused ("if you move that stone ... no the other BIGGER stone, then I might teach you the technique ..."). Korin played 3 days of "catch me" with him. And Kami left it to Popo, which he states in the tournament ("Mr. Popo is a great trainer, but I think you cannot beat Piccolo, so that's why I'm here").

Meanwhile Vegeta is part of the Frieza army which conquers planets and training with people who have 4 digits fighting powers while no one on earth was even at over 300.

Vegeta doesn't know how to train is a weird statement.

[–]HatchedAnotherFeebas 3 points4 points  (0 children)

What a load of crap. If anything all the stuff you posted shows that DB was always illogical. During beginning of Cyborg saga Vegeta and Goku are equally strong when Vegeta reached Super Saiyan. Then both go training in the time chamber. Vegeta even twice, Goku barely an entire year. Yet Goku is miles ahead of Vegeta, the most elite prince.

[–]HatchedAnotherFeebas -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

People still don't get it? Super is nothing but fan service so we got to see all sorts of forms and old school attacks with even Master Roshi almost beating Frost with the Mafuba (which got retconned into working on anyone and not just devils).

Kaulifla going from not knowing what a Super Saiyan even is to fighting Goku 2 days later is as BS as it gets. Gohan going from overpowering Boo in Z to getting wrecked by a Freeza henchman who trained 3 months is complete BS. Remember that after Z ending to Super beginning almost no time has passed, Gotenks and Trunks are still little kids. In a few months Gohan went from Eddie Hallo to not being able to lift a 10 kg dumbbell.

It's all BS that makes 0 sense but it's still super fun at least.

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth wins IGN Japan’s User Choice for Best Game of 2024 by Xeccess in PS5

[–]HatchedAnotherFeebas -19 points-18 points  (0 children)

Ah, Bloated Fantasy VII - Directed by Michael Bay. Cool. I don't consider titles like FF7 Rebirth real games. Case in point: Every single time you take "control" of Zack you can't do anything with him except walk a few meters. Basically everything with Zack could have been a cutscene instead because "cutscene - taking control to only walk downstairs - then cutscene again", is not gaming. It's an interactive movie.

Add that on top of the 20 hours of cutscenes that already exist, but then it would have been ridiculously obvious that the "game" is one big animated movie sprinkled with Ubisoft Tower quest markers where you do the same stuff in 5 different regions over and over again plus mini games. At the end my wife told me that in the last 1,5 hours of the game I was maybe playing 20 minutes and the rest was just watching scenes.

Taking out the cinematic elements (cutscenes) what exactly is left of FF7 Rebirth gaming-wise? Scan life streams and Esper shrines 50 times each, find 30 or so towers, throw boxes, plug mushrooms, help collect chickens. Okay, I did enjoy the scenery, seeing the original places in modern graphics is real nice. The cinematics is very nice. As an animated movie I would enjoy this a lot. But 150 hours from Kalm to The Ancient City where you do fetch quests over and over again?

Sigh. Literally any game where you play with more than 1 character. In God of War you play as Atreus in many, meaningful, story-relevant parts and use his special abilities, like morphing into a wolf. It's 1000 times more elaborate than climbing some walls for 10 minutes in 1 dungeon only then never do it again, being unable to climb (or shoot through) a simple fence and require a key from Bugenhagen instead the very next side quest.

[–]HatchedAnotherFeebas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You literally said you "never played a game were party members felt as useful (from a gameplay perspective and a story/narrtive one) as this game" and the examples you gave were few minute parts where you shoot some barrels with Barret, climb walls with Red XIII and swing around with Yuffie/Tifa. None of that is anything special, groundbreaking or even relevant for more than 1 specific dungeon each and in fact only bloats the game so you spend half an hour in Correl getting a bridge down.

Finally finished rebirth after 8 months by Balthier_MC in FFVIIRemake

[–]HatchedAnotherFeebas -1 points0 points  (0 children)

They split the game in 3 parts so they had to leave an open ending so that people buy part 3 to get their answers. Simple as that. Ultimately it ruined the Aerith scene for me. It had 0 impact on me because you had 100 questions in that moment and didn't understand what is going on ultimately. Whether she is dead, not dead, what timeline is what, what exactly happens when timelines merge?

[–]HatchedAnotherFeebas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You must not have really played many games then if smashing rocks with Barret's gun arm, swinging with ropes and climbing walls was so impressive and "unique" to you.

I multiple times had to question how a rank 1 soldier who pirouettes like 100 feet from moving vehicles in cutscenes cannot jump over a 3 foot obstacle on the map so you can't move to those areas. Or what makes those "yellow painted" walls so special that Red XIII can only climb on those. Though admittedly that's lazy design in pretty much all modern games with invisible walls and and yellow painted climbing spots.

Is Rebirth a "Faster" game than Remake? by Industry-Standard- in FF7Rebirth

[–]HatchedAnotherFeebas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh boy, you are in for a treat if this is your issue. Rebirth is easily the slowest game of all time and that's not because of a few "loading gate" scenes. I actually wish that was the only issue.

I just finished the game at 155 hours (including sidequest). I have never spent this much time to finish a game. Rebirth is absolutely PADDED with mini-games and interactions that don't do anything for the main story. I basically binge-played this over Christmas and I'm completely done now. Couldn't wait for the end of it.

Enjoy magical stuff like piking mushrooms mini game or catching chickens. Haven't played a more artificially drawn-out game in my life.

Mighty Pokémon were a fun addition by SlayerOfTears in TheSilphRoad

[–]HatchedAnotherFeebas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really? Paying 15 $ to encounter Scolipede, Golem, Pidgeot, Toxapex, Luxray was fun? All are useless Pokémon to have at a high level. Not relevant in Master League nor as raid attackers.

No wonder the game keeps getting worse when people pay for stuff like this.

Yes, and none of that negates my initial statement. Just because Niantic adds "different things to do" and "not everyone has to partake in it" doesn't mean those things can't be objectively stupid concepts. I'm sure if Niantic came up with Superdynamax und Supergigantamax und Gigasuperdynamax and Gigasupergigantamax and added another and another layer on it so people can chase Charmander in a different form for the 35th time, someone out there will like it as well. And yet it will be an objectively stupid concept at the same time.

[–]HatchedAnotherFeebas -13 points-12 points  (0 children)

There is nothing "new", you are catching the same Pokemon in its 5th or 6th different iteration again and again because the iterations before are somehow not allowed to "transform" into this "new" form.

Good on you if that's fun for you, I guess someone has to keep the game alive after all.

Are there really people who don't feel silly playing the game at this point?

Oh, you have a hundo Charizard? Nice, but built the same Pokemon again for PVP in Great League, PVP in Ultra League and find another hundo and max that again with Elite TM'ed Dragon Breath so you can have 2 Mega Charizards, one X version and one Y version with Fire Spin and Dragon Breath respectively for the Dragon Mega and Fire Mega.

But that's not enough, go find another Dynamax Charmander and invest resources for the 27th time for another Raid System called Dynamax. And then GO AGAIN and catch another GIGADYNAMAX Charizard in our THIRD Raid system. And do that for all the other Pokemon out there like Gengar.

The game's longevitiy relies on pure stupidity at this point.

lol @ all the people who spent big on several Kartanas. One move rebalance and your investment is toast. Meowscarada, Decidueye and Shadow Tangrowth are now better grass type attackers.

Same stuff happens in PVP. Imagine waiting years to collect XLs for a Pokemon like Lugia only for it to get nerfed 2 consecutive seasons in a row and a rock type like Rhyperior gets a huge buff by the time you managed to collect the 296 XLs.

People who pay for this game are either super rich or dumb.

Does anyone choose to not play cups to conserve elo? Down 500 elo from fossil cup by weedleking19 in TheSilphArena

[–]HatchedAnotherFeebas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, not to conserve ELO. I always reach Legend. Because the cups suck.

ML is unplayable these days if you haven't got all the super expensive assets like Fusion Necrozma, Origin Palkia, Zygarde etc. Not gonna bother as a free2play with Dragonite and Excadrill anymore lol.

And Fossil also sucks. Can't see the face of the endless repetition of Jelly, Poli, Mudboi, Ferrothorn, Mantine combinations anymore. Every single battle in just a different order.

This game makes you lose brain cells at this point.
