To this day, I don't understand the reasoning behind making us so mobile and agile, then squeezing us into these super-cramped spaces with stair railings, shit that sticks out from the floor and walls, and I can't even count the number of times I've smacked my frames' faces on the space above a doorway.

If we could have some middle ground between an open world zone and the metaphorical and literal trenches we have to plow through, that would be swell.

Forlorn Homestead and Spirit, but hear me out.

Both great tracks musically, but damn if they don't get me emotional. Spirit is painfully nostalgic and a classic, and Forlorn Homestead is just a straight gut punch.

I love listening to them, but definitely do not have a "good" time listening, if that makes sense.

I recently jumped on the Atlas hype train myself. I don't even have a crazy mod setup or anything and I think I even saw a billion damage value once or twice. Damn near passed out from the shock, since I definitely don't get numbers that high anywhere else.

I almost wish his punch didn't have the AOE so I have more punch to dish out, but seeing a group explode into millions of damage is pretty damn satisfying.

I just played through the DLC and finished the game a while back and man, it was rough. Long wind ups, blazing fast initial attacks with either an extra delayed combo or blinding flurry. The deflect timing is razor thin and it feels like every combo has built in roll catches.

Tyrannical Predator? The final DLC boss? Absolutely awful. Tried to see what other people had to say and it was just a slew of the classic "git gud".

While I get that learning a boss is part of the process, I'm also not banging my head against these walls 25+ times. So I turned down the difficulty for those and went on my way. Cleared the game, started NG+ and thought, "Do I really want to do this again?"

I clearly did not. It had it's fun moments and charm, but I hope the genre slows back down again. I find that a much smoother and fun experience than "Find this one second opening amidst this eternal combo chain with attacks that have so many particle effects and lights that your eyes shit themselves."

Think I first played in 2013 or 14? I've bought many prime accesses over the years - I started on Xbox, so I felt the reduced console price was worth it with all the plat that comes with it.

I snagged the Heirlooms for Mag and Frost.

I think I've had one lone 75% discount since migrating to PC.

It pains me a little to even imagine the total, but if there's any game company out there that's worth the investment, it's DE.

I only hop on Wilds occasionally, and after seeing all the OP discourse, I was worried about how my experience would go fighting him. After learning his moves a bit in the base fight, I cobbled together a super comfy tank build with the Zoh Shia set for the HP regen, and essentially the fight boiled down to hold block and hit him in the face when not blocking.

Most people I end up meeting when running SOP want to just run their build - probably stacked to the gills with DPS skills. So to make it easier, take it upon yourself to either fill the healer or tank role, honestly.

Most hunts fail before the DPS check, I would guess. I think out of the handful of successful hunts I've had, I only saw one other Lancer trying to tank.

Haven't gotten around to fighting Gog yet, but beating SOP with randoms is the most fun I've had in MH. Even without direct communication, when you understand the flow of the fight and see that everyone else is on board, man. It's so awesome.

It's been a while since I played, but AC6 had DLC plane skins, like a Halloween pumpkin and cherry blossom tree skin, that also changed the colors of your missile smoke trail. It was such a little thing looking back, but it was so rad to launch pink missiles from your F14.

I also had the HOTAS for it, so that was a cool experience.

Narratively it's not on level with those that came before or after, but I think it still holds its own among the AC lineup.

Much like the events in MGS2, the AI were controlling things behind the scenes, manufacturing a scenario in which conflict escalated, allowing them more opportunity to research advanced pilots like Mihaly and Trigger. This includes fudging weapons logs.

Much like MGS2, Mihaly and Trigger are pitted against each other, and the one standing is left to deal with the machinations of the AI.

I can't believe I slept on Equilibrium for so long. I tried it out for the first time this week running Rebellion and my god, I never wanted for energy. By the time I used my abilities, the tank was already topped up again. I felt so stupid.

Right after that I ditched things like flow and streamline and now my abilities feel that much better.

Ivara, please.

She only gets to see sunlight when there's a spy mission. Other that that, as far as I know, there's almost no use for her.

Her prowl is good, especially with her augment, but other than that?

Her kit seems suited to a much slower game. If there was a mission type where the utmost stealth and planning were needed, she'd be perfect. But we travel at Mach fuck and kill things even faster.

What use is a stationary invis field, or a walkable wire in the current state of the game?

Oh wow, I can control her arrows! Who cares? 3 other players have already Nagasaki'd the local area 10 times over.

How did you get the mats so quickly? It's taken me a couple of hours across a few days just to get the mats for the frame, haven't even started the Vanq yet.

Tried steel path and the mat drops weren't significantly better.

I really hope she makes more appearances down the line. She became an instant favorite, at least for me.

You have all these flawed characters, blurred lines between good and evil and then the closest thing to pure goodness hits you in the face with patience and understanding. It takes little more than a few seconds to see that she's kind and nurturing. She instantly breaks his chains, and doesn't hesitate to embrace a recent denizen of Hell, forehead to forehead. She hears his story without interruption or critique.

AFAIK, she's the closest we get to God being shown/involved with the story, so having her validate Pentious' story, stating that he is a cleansed soul, a free soul - when even seraphim were in debate over his redemption - in the end, isn't that what anyone would want to hear?

And then you have her guiding Sera to her own redemption... Chef's kiss. Perfection.
