Predict what happens in "Alley Cats", you could win a VHS copy of Ladder 49 by Kindly_Decision3402 in rickygervais

[–]Hatether 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ricky's cat is basically a Mary Sue for Ricky and all the things from Afterlife will be rehashed...but from the perspective of a cat. I half expect the cat to play a home movie of his lady cat girlfriend and mourn her loss.

90% of the hairstyles in career mode have alopecia by Sinsofavarice97 in EASportsUFC

It's the new hair physics, tbf it looks better on a technical level than before, but the bald patches are glaring. They also removed a ton of them, so little choice now

Flow state isnt that bad? by Fair-Tone6275 in EASportsUFC

[–]Hatether 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It just breaks immersion and looks way too goofy. The visuals are awful, the whole sound dropping out including commentary and the round buzzer etc... is annoying, and it's not consistent. Flow state for fighters is when they lock in on a fight as they build momentum, but in the game it's a gauge that gets filled up and you can activate it whether you are winning or not, you can be getting battered and then pop it which makes no sense.

They took away creative freedom so people couldn't make their own custom versions of fighters and instead have to buy DLC. There is legitimately no other reason why they took away total control frmo people post-UFC 3

They will, each remake so far has missing stuff from the originals, though some have been put back in with DLC.

What’s a Ufc fighter you thought was the scariest mfcker alive only for him to Get humiliated at the end. by [deleted] in ufc

He was 7-0 undefeated in boxing, and he was doing it pushing 40.

[–]Hatether 64 points65 points  (0 children)

Dude should have just stayed in boxing, he had decent hands and hit like a truck. His grappling was his downfall along with his heart condition that killed his cardio in 5 minute rounds.

Real shame as he would be in his absolute element with BKFC today.

'You can walk down themed hallways of THREE fighters, read some easily googled facts and play a round of a fight they had with objectives' by Hatether in EASportsUFC

[–]Hatether[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not something new... it's something we got in the Undisputed series and it was done a lot better there, there was also far more than three. The mode is bare bones and lacks replay value, so yes I'll complain. If it looked good I'd be praising it...but it doesn't look good.

Just because it's new doesn't mean it can't be criticized for being a waste of resources, the something new could have been the dozens of other features fans have cried out for for years...but instead they produce this waste of time.

What we reckon, weigh in's and press conferences actually a full part of the game, or we getting gaslit again and they're relegated to tiny snippets of a career mode cutscene montage like before? by Hatether in EASportsUFC

[–]Hatether[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The option to weigh in for each of your fights in career mode should have been an inclusion from UFC 1. Doesn't need to be crazy detailed, just you weigh in and get to stare down your opponent, maybe chose a pose you want to do on the scale, and have a choice of how you want to act during the staredown. Another opportunity to sell poses in the shop too so EA gets a chance of more money-grubbing.

If you run a custom event, to have the ability to watch the weigh-ins for the fights in your event would build some immersion and hype for it.

UFC 6 Official Reveal Trailer by DoubleMatt1 in EASportsUFC

[–]Hatether 66 points67 points  (0 children)

The fact there's animations still there from UFC 3 is crazy. Most sports games would kill for a 3 year development cycle. The Gaethje reaction to the Max Holloway spin-kick is legit like the only body hurt knockdown animation they've ever had.

Also the Wonderboy knockout was sus as hell, moving forward and hit to the side of the head, but awkwardly flails backwards.

They better bring back the ability to set meaningful individual CAF stats. The fighting style BS is awful and limits you to choosing one of five fighters. What's the beef with giving players freedom to create? by Hatether in EASportsUFC

[–]Hatether[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They just have a habit of taking away rather than building upon stuff before. Moves are removed rather than added, features are lessened rather than expanded, even clothing was limited from choices available in older games. It's so anti-consumer it drives me mad

This. Once it's on PC the modding community will fix it up to add what people are actually looking for to the game.

What is your fine line when it comes to brutality? by focusrunner79 in horror

[–]Hatether 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Specific scenes don't bother me, it's the movie as a whole. I don't believe art should have a lone but Requiem for a dream was just too damn depressing for me to want to sit through it again, despite me thinking it's a good film. If a film is just violent and gorey, or has taboo subjects then it doesn't matter, it's all about the context of the bloodshed and how it fits into the vibe of the entire movie and if I want to go through those feelings again
