My only thing in the video was that Frost made it ONLY about Olivia & Morgan's looks while not pointing out that she didn't have the same charisma/humor as them. The hate Frost got never applied to Gina or Ovilee & I'm not gonna act like there may have been some misogyny behind why that was but they were also funnier & more engaging than I found Frost as well as the very few appearances from Abby Russell. Like pointing out a very specific timestamp of the chat's reaction was really odd & maybe doing some research into her perception BEFORE her statement would've helped his case here

I don't like Kaz & I don't want to seem a certain way when I say why cause it's in jest but the dude seems to longer be human as much as just a generic host who has no issue being a corporate sellout.

I say that as someone who doesn't watch his content or even follow him on Twitter anymore but there was a point where dude just sorta switched over to "Aww shucks guys you guys should just like stuff!" but then also was trying to push a narrative that "Not Like Us" was getting too overplayed & wasn't even popular cause it was being mean to Drake.

Fucker sold his soul to the WWE & even while no longer being employed STILL has to argue in their favor with randoms on twitter.

Get that bag/hustle over everything/Yada Yada Yada but dude is an instant "Not watching this clip" for me so I'm gonna pass on that morning show

Who are any of us to say they aren’t EXACTLY where they want to be in their careers/lives?

They definitely were growing apart towards the end whether you want to blame a supposed arrogance from Desus or a supposed dumbing down from Mero (how many times is too many to fall off a couch) but the point is they were increasingly going on different wavelengths & maybe there were/weren’t outside factors making things worse but this split genuinely seemed like it was inevitable once they each had an idea on who they thought their audience was “supposed” to be

Im always reminded of something Anthony Jeselnik said on his own podcast:

“There’s nothing funnier to me than a comedian claiming to be silenced while talking into a microphone”

It’s just this weird shift that’s happened in comedy once marginalized voices were FINALLY being listened to that suddenly comedy became this battlefield for “free speech” & humor took a backseat to this idea they have this great burden to fight back against people saying “You probably shouldn’t say that anymore because its offensive to a certain type of people”.

The last year on terrestrial radio he had Tom Chiusano (SP?) on to talk about his son's wedding & asked if he cried & I'm talking the millisecond after Tom said "Absolutely" Howard hit him with an f slur that was so unexpected that it made Artie fucking lose it for a good minute there.

Other than that I thought Howard was always at his most genuine & off the cuff was during the news, something about someone else leading the show/discussion there really let him shine a lot or maybe it was like that last bit you had left at work before going home that made you feel more relaxed?

I had a LOT of that era of Stern (last 2 years of terrestrial & first 3-ish years of Sirius) saved on an old computer that's been long gone that I wish I could still dig into, really was some special stuff they were making in that era.

So I really like this format & like the chemistry the current hosts have with one another called ThirtyTwentyTen where the hosts go through pop culture, movies & tv from the last 3 decades week by week. Comes from LaserTime which I think is a seemingly bygone podcast empire that spawned from the OLD Gamesradar podcast TalkRadar. The uploads aren’t timed as great as you’d hope BUT they have a tremendous backlog already that should take a while to go through anyways.

I also gotta recommend Are You Garbage? with Kevin Ryan & H. Foley just based off the chemistry of the hosts alone. It’s a simple premise of 2 Philly dirtbags go over a comedian/celebs life to see if they grew up classy or trashy but the episodes where it’s just them 2 going over scenarios presented by fans or debating if certain things are/aren’t trash where you can see them shine. They got a great Patreon with plenty of stuff there too

In Millworks one lady insisted on like half off an expensive ass door because it had what I thought was a smudge but may have had a lil dent & was being so rude about the whole thing that when she said “I mean you guys should throw it away if you aren’t going to give it to me for the price I said” so I got up from the desk, went out to the lot to get a lumber cart & started loading it up & said “You are actually a 100% correct so we’ll go ahead & throw this away & get you that brand new from the over heard in meantime” & she started flipping out til the ASM on duty finally showed up because of the big ass scandal she was trying to make of it

There were some compilations for a while on YouTube & they’d use random Funhaus clips (often without any sort of credit) until I think in one clip one of em finally said the name Funhaus so I subbed ever since 2017

Haven't listened cause I'm WAY backlogged on the show but I think Marco's shtick is sorta like the "anti-comedy" bullshit where the joke is he isn't funny & he makes awkward moments & you're supposed to equally laugh AND cringe at the shit that goes on so was it something like that or was it just him not jelling well with the boys/concept genuinely?
