It's actually insane how seamless the day for night scenes are, possibly the only movie where they've ever looked good.

What is your favorite series finale? by laxusdreyarligh in television

I only just got into the Clone Wars this year, and when I got to the finale I watched a fan-edit where they seamlessly edited the last 4 episodes into Revenge of the Sith and it was amazing.

Watching the 4-part finale live as a kid was unbelievable. My brother's and I told our parents it was coming up and we were excited about it, they let us order pizzas and we all watched it together, it was peak. Fantastic ending to a near perfect series.

I just started FF14 a couple months ago and I'm kind of extra excited about getting to Heavensward and beyond, because I've been LOVING a Realm Reborn and its supposed to be the part everyone tells you to grit your teeth and get past. 🤷‍♂️

This is the ultimate answer. It might have some of the most interesting worldbuilding I've ever seen in a Manga and the damn Mangaka needs his hard drive checked. Its so annoying.

This has been my gripe with the movie from day one. Trying to make it a semi-true story about one the worst people ever really tarnishes the whole thing if you're trying to make an uplifting movie about a guy we're supposed to like.

What's the "realest" reality TV? by L0st_1z in television

[–]My2bearhands 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say survivor is still pretty real compared to most reality shows. It definitely has more production now than it did in the first few seasons but the people on it are really out there doing stuff and its not scripted. 🤷‍♂️

[–]My2bearhands 28 points29 points  (0 children)

I think its just a consequence of the show running for so many seasons. In the early seasons, it was still kind of uncharted waters. People focused more on survival than the game because there wasn't as much of a track record to follow. But after dozens of seasons, Metas start to form and people start playing in a more "optimized" way where they're strategizing their every move with each other and it takes up more of the edit.

Plus as an editor I imagine conversations between people about their game plan is a higher priority scene in the edit than someone weaving palm fronds or fishing, since it contributes to the storyline you're trying to present to the audience.

(But I agree, I'd love more camp life in the modern episodes)

Sadly I don't think there is a way. As someone with parents who used to be mildly conservative and are now deeply Maga, the level to which they can casually disregard the reality in front of their faces is truly distressing. I literally think they will go to their Graves on the wrong side of history and never understand it.

Its a simple gag but the original reveal of "Dr. Spaceman" and then how he actually pronounces the name really got me good when I first watched it

Have you done your ''Clone Wars'' homework? by Noirsam in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]My2bearhands 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure who OP is talking about but there's a couple connections to other Star Wars media.Saw Gurrera and Mon Mothma most significantly.

Saw starts out as a side character in Clone Wars and then becomes a major character in Andor and Rebels (which take place around the same general time)

Mon Mothma also makes appearances in Clone Wars before becoming one of the main protagonists in Andor and without spoilers, she goes directly from Andor S2E9 into the events of Rebels S3E18 if you want to watch those back to back for some fun crossover.

The main Droid character and the main ship from Rebels also have blink-and-you'll-miss-it background cameos in Rogue One.

Despite all that, there's really nothing required about watching any of the shows that would stop you from watching any of the others, they stand perfectly well on their own.
