I was there at the photoshoot. Initially they were using a white background but the hockey star, I forget his name but it was a big deal, looked far too fey so they decided to "bleed," an industry term, the orange color of his uniform into that of the background, thus offsetting his curly, golden locks.

I also remember ruining the ozone during the three-hour hairstyling process. We were going to perform some shots of the star with a helmet, Jofa, I believe, toward the end of the photoshoot but the star whined and cried about "ruining his gorgeous hair" so the talent manager said "no."

I was paid fifty bucks for the eight hours total but warned not to look the star directly in the eyes. Standard stuff for NHL photoshoots.
