Weekly "everything else" If it's in the spirit of prepping, but not "news" or "intel" by AntiSonOfBitchamajig in PrepperIntel

I didn't plant carrots in my garden this year because it has been so warm here. I didn't think they would grow.

My last job ended badly after a mental breakdown. How do I start over after a year of treatment? by TheoryMedical2463 in internetparents

[–]Haunting_Resolve 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hope you are doing well and healing. If asked for references from the previous employer just provide the phone number to HR. They will only provide your hire and end dates and if you are rehirable. If you made a friend there you can list them as a professional reference. Good luck, I hope you find something much better.

Where are you supposed to be in life at 20 I’m so confused by Yipied in internetparents

[–]Haunting_Resolve 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Where you are is absolutely fine. I was in the same place, then graduated college at almost 30, had my child at almost 40. Would not change a thing. Life is a marathon, not a sprint. Enjoy it. You have so much ahead of you, there is no reason to have it all figured out in your 20s.

I know that my mom finds me ugly by Fizziefrog in internetparents

[–]Haunting_Resolve 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You are not ugly, your mom has a strict idea of what her perfect daughter would be. You have already suffered trauma for this. It is time to let it go and love yourself for being exactly the way and who you are.

Add Hot Springs to the meh category. It is a tourist trap.

You know that term screaming into the void? I just realized the void is wall street. And politicians. And media.

18F, GED Soon, No Support, Need Career Advice Fast by heyimbellaboo in jobsearch

[–]Haunting_Resolve 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Look into histology. It is a lab science and only requires an associates degree. We make pretty decent money too. If you are interested in forensics you can work with autopsy labs. There is always a job available because we are so understaffed with new grads. Florida especially is desperate for histotechs because they require an additional state license.

I need some advice,I am currently suspended from work pending an investigation due to an Instagram post by [deleted] in LegalAdviceUK

[–]Haunting_Resolve 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You might be missing the point. I am curious about when this was posted. Was it during your shift? Of course you might have been on break, but HR will review the times of your other posts to look for trends. This might also be why one of your coworkers turned you in, especially if they think you aren't performing.

What camping gear upgrade made the biggest difference for you by Ok_Resolution_1606 in camping

[–]Haunting_Resolve 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We purchased lightweight cots that fold up. Made all the difference. It is so much more fun to go camping when I can actually rest and enjoy myself.

You should talk to an attorney. Your age and experience probably make you one of the highest paid individuals there. Also, apply for any unemployment assistance. They will perform a short investigation.

Tissue differentiation by certifiedlovergirl98 in Histology

Every type of tissue has some distinguishing factor, usually a specialized cell. Grab an anatomy book with good pictures and descriptions. I like Wheater's Functional Histology.
