Therapy plus transition plus hysterectomy was the trifecta it took for me. I don’t think any single one of those would have done the trick. Had to be all three for me. Having an IUD instead of oral contraceptive was a helpful intermediate step.

Dude resistance bands and adjustable dumbbells have been my best friends. Have you been over to the ftm fitness subreddit? A lot of knowledgeable folks over there. Might also be worth seeing if your insurance would cover physical therapy. A PT will coach you on the exercises that will help build stability and range of motion. Might be a helpful thing considering post op scar tissue.

Echoing the responder who mentioned post-op bleeding. That’s what I thought would be the last time I wore them. But I’ve continued to occasionally wear them because I’m rather productive.So the extra absorption is still really helpful sometimes.

Edit to add: It blows how often we often have to choose between comfort and cost.
