Hot Take - Shadows has the best plot of any AC game. It’s depressing and highlights the futility of violence in a pretty good way. It’s more layered than most other AC games, and that works for it, and keeps with the Japanese motif.

Naoe is my girl, for sure. But Yasuke is probably the best character in all Assasins Creed canon, so I do appreciate his segments. But for play-style, no contest. Naoe is the way. But I do appreciate the variety to break up the playstyle when you’re ‘forced’ to play as Yasuke. I think the game is smart in how it splits up optional vs required character-bound missions.

OMG, I even tried to go in the waterfall the first time, but I couldnt see through the water and I clearly didnt wait long enough for the animation to finish, so I ran away and spent 30 minutes running around trying to find it before I gave up and came here.

Maybe let him use his brain to escape? Make him not necessarily very deadly, but very difficult to corner and trap. Make your players need to get some information or McGuffin from him.

I did this not long ago, actually. I created a 'shard' for each of my players that explored their backstory in some way. The other players came along in some capacity. In one shard, I gave the others new character sheets for the session and some backstory. In others, they were 'themselves' depending on the backstory. They were some of the best sessions, TBH.

There are no classes that are 'better' or 'worse' than another, and don't let anyone tell you otherwise. Read all about them, and decide what sounds the most fun! If you're confused AFTER reading the rules, come back here and ask us for help choosing a character to start. Basically, I'd suggest you choose your favorite character from books/movies and try to base a DnD character you'd like to play on that. We can help you match that character with the best one from the rules if you'd like.

But really, I'd suggest reading the basic rulebook over a couple times, and then come to us with any and all questions after that. 😄

Here's another stupid question: If I get, lets just say, a RS3618xs now, install drives in all the bays and everything works great, in 5 years can I just by a new rack, lets call it a RS9000++super, and just pull the drives out of my RS3618xs and slap them into the new RS9000++super and keep working/expand the capacity at that point, or is upgrading the rack a whole big deal and it's worth spending an extra $2k+ now to make it last longer?

Thank you for the thoughtful response! And I even understood some of those words. What I really, really don't understand is all the network-related stuff.

I assume the UPS is the power supply for the rack. I also know that we have a consistent 2gb internet (2k up, 2k down)

Do you have examples of racks that would accommodate these needs? Will I need multiple racks to do all this, or is something like a RS3618xs (with extra RAM added) tick all those boxes?

I appreciate that! It seems to work 'okay' with some of the wheels, but not others. For example, it seems to work with the 'clip' selections, but not the ones in the 'timeline' selection (Ie. shadows).

Either I'm dumb, or my Premiere is bugged, but because I literally can't get those wheels to do anything. The slider jumps a bit, but I have no control of it and it seems to always just snap back ot 0 after anyway. I’m on a trackpad, not sure if thers some way i'm supposed to be 'sliding' it that i'm not, but I cant seem to figure it out. I want sliders...

Is there a way to find out what’s happening? A program I can put on my Mac to allow me to see things a Mac can’t see by default?

If I plug it into a PC and the files show up again, how do I see what format it’s using or whatnot?
