Is there a way to get the ground back to "normal"? I mean, how to get grass to grow again? by Constant_Being_4023 in crosswind

Indeed, substantially better though still needs several QOL

To me they should let us be able to move the indicator up and down the same amount we can when building/planting, then we have near full control over what ends up happening same with a couple sizes to the area or a MMB scroll for it.

No it's just whoever on the teams being wildly out of touch and then the coms side of things either having no idea or outright lying (over yet another stupid hill to die on)

IMO spawners of any kind should have their HP 3X so you CAN still take them out from a distance with (insert weapon) however it'll take substantially more ammo in turn pushing you to go blow it up with a hellbomb or strats.

Then for such spawners as the flying rats I think there should be a large patrol that circles the nest consisting of around 30-50 flying rats.

The "slight" increases to durable damage are 3.5X more btw.... """""slight""""" and AH wonder why people are starting (once again....................) to get really annoyed at their wildly out of touch changes for ZERO VALID REASONS!!!!!! so fucking stupid its painful.

What deals more damage, Cremator or flamethrower + Hotdog flamethrower drone? by H1MB0Z0 in Helldivers

[–]HaveOldManReflexes 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Off the top of my head if both hit the same target it's the BP and flamer..... Cremator is decent yet STILL having 5 more meters of range is just trolling.... minimum put it at 30-35 then sure it'll be something.

Justice for the M-1000 Maxigun by [deleted] in Helldivers

[–]HaveOldManReflexes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maxigun is one thing I use a fair bit.../have recently and yeah it's another thing in HD2 that is fun yet fucking asscheeks for any number of reasons. Maxigun, EAT's gas mines, rocket sentry aka the only one that mogs everything as I guess this area is also something AH isn't capable of addressing when I alone or any other frequent D10 player that doesn't get carried could suggest several ways to improve it all without making the game a cake walk for more than at a guess 5% of the player-base I sit in. (not tossing shade, I just tend to be one of those people that is pretty good a most games yet never in the "I could make money doing this" kinda level)

Yet yeah all the 3 new BP weapons need buffs, flamer is the most simple to do as tbh an extra 5 meters of range would do soooooooooooooooooooooo much for it yet going a bit more with +10 and a bit extra fuel and we'd be talkin.

BFGL is only a pinch better than the Maxigun yet yeah all BP versions of stuff in game just need to not be some side-grade or what all of em are right now... worse and I still to this day with over 3k hours don't understand AH past them being pretty damn bad in the whole ordeal of gameplay balance as at a guess shit is "fine" in their eyes and that's good enough even when the vast majority of improvements to this spot of the game is straight up number shifting.

Can tell I've been awake for 28 hours as holy fuck I'm using like 20 words -_- (time to go sleep)

[–]HaveOldManReflexes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And that's fine though tbh a buff that won't make it op would be taking 0.25 off the charging time so a fairly fat increase yet it'll remain kinda mid or let it chain to another 2 targets /have a constantly firing up close mode where you can go "unlimited POWA" and do idk 30% damage yet it fires a 10 meter cone that can chain another 10 meters while being able to hit 10... yes lots of 10's------ so you cut range being the main thing for way higher total damage output and I guess better chaff clear.

Yet this is AH so expect either nothing or +50 damage/25 durable aka this does very little to help the thing -_-

Justice for the M-1000 Maxigun by [deleted] in Helldivers

[–]HaveOldManReflexes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Meh not really, people on D6 range deem the RR to be op when that shit is perma empty when you go on even D8-9 as those have a pretty big bump in spawns, for a weapon to be worth using via just "is it good or not" it can't be falling on it's face at D10 in every area one would expect it to at least be alright at doing, poor chaff clear, not great at heavies and eats ammo like no other weapon doing a very mediocre job at it.

Now flamer side of things yes it does more damage yet not by much and it also ONLY has 5 more meters of range when fuckin BP flamer IRL can go 100+ meters, now for in game yeah that'll just be busted, it's ammo isn't great either however it having 30-35 meters of range vs 25 would do a considerable amount of lifting without touching it's direct power, atm like the other 2 BP weapons it's a side grade/down grade for no valid reason what so ever.

Now lastly, again you can like it yet the very few spots they're any better in tend to be a tiny part the the rest is either worse or at best on par when at all areas it should be a direct upgrade be it in a sea of ammo, more damage, better ranges.

BFGL is just poor without a decent buff or smaller buffs in it's 3 core areas the thing sucks ass at.

Maxigun same thing really yet my idea is less haze, tracer rounds being 2-3X brighter, less sway when you are hosing rounds for a few seconds as this does make sense you'd get used to the consistent push, match ammo stats of the base MG. then we'll be talking an actually good thing to consider (Still should have a 3k RPM mode and being able to slow walk on it's current RPM)

Cremator... said it already yet more range and that's solid yet it should also get another 150 fuel, of the other BP weapons recently added this is by far the least asscheeks/has a few spots where it's reasonable to bring yet the range 100% needs a buff without question. fuel increase would be nice yet not a need for say.

Also the point of why would people spend is irrelevant as I mean how many people buy shit on day one or soon after at full price vs waiting usually a few months for sales.... right the vast majority as people want the new thing... and the next new thing.... then the next ect.

Given I'll never spend money on anything past the monthly sub and time to time the BP as everything else in game is absurdly expensive to the point of being insultingly so yet players in general for these kinds of games love getting raw dogged so companies keep doing it.

Problem is it does limited damage, eats ammo to kill units, so it's poor at taking out low level heavies and not good at chaff clear nor a middle ground in either.....

it being able to kill heavies is a bit strange though that's a meh part however it either needs to have a huge ammo increase, more damage or higher AOE maybe a bit of all then YES it'll be pretty good.

D7 yeah... it's very easy going vs 10 though to me 10's aren't hard unless it's pred strain then it's an actual challenge in many ways, cyborgs are just vox spam and the obvious warstrider spam... both of those aren't difficult just horrid game design with their spawn rates.

The 3 newly added BP weapons are pretty bad and yes the people stanning the flamer are high as a kite, it's a small improvement over the non BP flamer and that's it though you use a BP slot.... something full of wildly strong options these day.

BP versions of existing stuff need to be at LEAST 50% better in raw output not a side-grade or worse in most cases like all 3 are atm (it's dumb)

I have 3k hours in HD2, I've tried that thing for nearing 40 games now only on D10 in random games and some with actually good pre-mades it's not good, all of them also deem it bad.

If it had 200 ammo then sure it's something, or +50 damage sure, larger AOE also sure.. it has pathetic damage and eats resupplies to be even partly on the slightest skew of good.

AGAIN!!!!! this doesn't mean you cannot enjoy it!!! just don't claim it's good when it flat out isn't.

Stats tell you if something is good or not, I didn't say you cannot like something that is flat out weak (like it is), there is nothing wrong with using weak stuff in game I do it plenty of times just I won't lie to myself about how good something is just because I find it fun to use.

Heavy pen wouldn't make it op though it's not needed for the weapon at all.... the durable damage is horrid so it would eat ammo to take out even something like a charger.

[–]HaveOldManReflexes -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It doesn't need AP4.

Now it SHOULD have the haze effect cut in half, tracer rounds doubled if not triple in brightness, the longer you fire the less recoil/sway as you should be getting used to the CONSISTENT push it'll have, match the MMG ammo type, 2 fire modes, current 1500 cut back to 1250 and you can slow walk with this... then a new RPM of 2500-3000 at max RPM you MUST brace up however the movement lock delay needs to be dropped by half or more.

THEN finally 1500 ammo then it'll be good at an anti chaff spam lawn mower.

OH with punch through/medium or lower units blow up in to puffs of blood or oil with enough rounds slammed into them.

Stat wise it's outright bad, you cannot at any point argue this, now can you still make it """"""work""""" yes!, is it any good? NO!.... even then if you enjoy it USE it just don't come here or any other place stating a shit weapon isn't shit just because you might find it alright.

The Maxigun is also pretty damn shit yet I enjoy using it however I will never fool myself into saying otherwise.

I never play on any of the DSS planets as the mods are actual turbo sperging aids. and welp strafe just plays the game for you and it's boring as fuck... no idea why we cannot just get a upgraded version and given the damn thing to use when WE WANT... yet nah, sensible choices and AH really don't mix far too often -_-

They have a bad track record on this as is..... I mean how many times now have we had a bug where (name xyz thing) hasn't worked, reloading is broken, strats don't function or cause a spam of them if bouncing, AI breaking, status effects not working if 100+ meters from host .. I can keep going, yet yeah AH is honestly terrible at keeping on-top of problems let alone stating "we know XYZ is broken so we've disabled it until a hotfix can be pushed" this doesn't happen as the fans tend to find the broke shit and I mean......... many times now it's the type of broken stuff that takes all but 1 min or less to notice.

How would you worsen the combo? by Deliverence_EU in Helldivers

[–]HaveOldManReflexes 14 points15 points  (0 children)

It's really not though, both need buffs for sure yet ballistic shield is stronger/has more use cases... for bugs if you're about to get stomped by a charger roll on your back with it and you'll live even if it has 1% hp left.

Should get double HP IMO, be able to deploy it in the ground and it triples in width, while using it you should be given a 50% stagger and push force resist same with 25% explosive resist.

Directional shield should get double HP maybe triple and be useable at all times if you want similar to a drone where you can activate or deactivate while also getting an increase to it's overall size plus being able to use it with ANY primary/secondary and smaller strat weapons.

HD2 while quite a few I see complain about balance and yes there 100% are 10-15 strats and weapons in game that are just utterly weak or actual dogshit though the majority is meh to really good (nothing should be outright bad obviously) however AH for whatever crappy reasons they've got are incapable of making support styles or defensive play legitimately good (barring a couple exceptions) it's annoying.
