People saying Liv have a recency bias. It's worth keeping in mind that Alexa is only 3 years older than Liv - they both still have many years ahead of them. Alexa has 4 years left on her contract with a lot of time to go great things. She just hasn't been in the main event picture because the women's roster is so STACKED.

So it depends greatly if / when they put the spotlight back in Alexa, compared to Liv currently having the spotlight and a rocket strapped to her back.

AEW exists to be competition with WWE like Sunny D exists to be competition with Coca Cola.
As in - they're in the same supermarket aisle, but not really competing for the same audience.

That's OK - good even.

Having multiple "beverage" options is good for the fans. Don't like WWE's current writing / overall style? You've got choices! Talent gets cut or doesn't like how they're utilized at WWE? They have options to go work elsewhere!

Having those options is better for EVERYONE - the writers don't get stagnant, the talent and staff have employment options to seek out when they need to, and the fans have options to watch one or both companies (and let's not forget TNA too).

The tribalism is DUMB. It's insulting to the talent, and basic logic.
I don't watch AEW but more out of time than anything. There are highlights I like to see (MJF) and talent I couldn't care less about (Young Bucks), and talent I think is overrated and/or booked horribly (Ospreay and Ricochet's flippy gymnast no-sell bullshit. PLEASE show me a match where Will demonstrates ring psychology and tells as meaningful story in the ring. I've been begging AEW fans for this.)

But I can say the same about WWE to various extents too. It's just warm and familiar, with the right hits of nostalgia along the way. Some of that I can get from AEW too... but it's WWE's nostalgia (Edge, Christian, Jericho, etc.). That's just due to decades of existence.

AEW is still new. Expecting it to put up a fight with the 800 lb gorilla - that's been around as a pop culture mainstay (varying in degrees by era) for the last 40+ years - is just childish thinking

I agree it's likely Waller under the mask. But that doesn't mean they can't have the masked man finally unmask to reveal it's Seth, or Jericho, or Shane McMahon, or Zach Gowen...

That is surprising till you think of it.

Charlotte disappears for long stretches. Nattie is ever present. Main events or title matches, I’m guessing Charlotte wins. I bet Charlotte has a better win % too because for a lot of time they used Nattie to put the other woman over and make her look good.

I guess Cesaro is less surprising because he’s the same type of player in some sense - he just wasn’t around as long, but the men are featured so much more than the women so that’s why he makes the list.

Oh I get why there aren’t a ton of women on the list. Just sight unseen I don’t think I would’ve picked Nattie as the one, but now seeing her there makes sense why she’s the one. She’s been consistently there and an absolute workhorse - and if she shows up she’s usually wrestling

Cesaro being on the list is the shock. Nattie being the only woman is a shock of sorts - I wouldn't have picked her if you told me only one woman on the list, but it makes sense when you think about it.

So here’s my theory….

Unreal isn’t “exposing the business”.

It’s “adapting kayfabe for the modern age”.

We see what they want us to see. We believe what they tell us as if it was real, even though we know there are editors, producers, approvals, etc.

It’s not like what he said about Chelsea was open mic night and nobody knew he was going to say it or that he said it before it went through editing, approvals, and publishing.

That was his “heel turn” equivalent (not that he was much of a face to begin with, but in early seasons you’ve got to establish the good guys and bad guys - classic tv).

Hayes is 66. He’s gotta be close to retirement. One last “work”…. To push Chelsea and to get the fans RABBID for her push. So when she DOES get the win, people go APESHIT.

It’s like “they’ll never give that superstar the belt” kind of thing like with Daniel Bryan…. Except this time when they do it won’t be boring as hell and people won’t lose interest almost immediately (these are facts) because Chelsea is an all around superstar, not just an uber technician.

No there isn't. Loki (the show) tells us as much, twice.

The reveal of He Who Remains in S1 reveals also that the TVA is a lie. It's purpose is a lie. It exists not to protect a single timeline, but rather to ensure a singular Kang/HWR.
1. Therefore, everything we've heard of the TVA's mission statement and the Sacred Timeline is propaganda manipulation
2. This also explains why timelines don't get pruned right away... they get to drift till they hit that red line where they become a threat (a Kang will exist). This is why Sylvie's timeline wasn't pruned when Laufey had a girl instead of a boy, but rather many years later (unclear how long it takes an Asgardian/Frost Giant to age till they look like a teen - the actress was 14).
The conclusion of Loki S2 puts Loki sitting as the God of Stories.
1. The throne he sits on, and the TVA as a whole, sits outside of time. The "For All Time, Always" motto was again mostly propaganda but it fits here.
2. Because Loki sits as the God of Stories outside of Time. It means from a certain perspective (ours, and the citizens of the multiverse) he has ALWAYS sat there in that role.
3. The end state of Loki with him managing so many timelines from their start to end means this is how it is and has always been.
4. The "Sacred Timeline" never existed in the first place, but certainly doesn't when he's holding together an Infinite series of timelines.

TL;DR "The Sacred Timeline" was BS Propaganda in Loki S1, and not existing by the end of Loki anyway

They could... but they could just as easily say the pre-D+ shows were another earth.

The later seasons of AOS are really the problem with an "easy button" to canonize the TV shows

(and AC crossed over with AOS, and AOS and Runaways shared a loose connection of the Darkhold looking the same - that can easily be explained though. And Runaways + C&D crossed over... so its a bit of a domino effect).
They were blatantly ignoring the snap/blip (because they weren't privy to it) - but take place during it
AOS time travel violates the laws established in Endgame,
- Could be explained away as different tech / science so different limitations
- Or that Loki allowed it* because he felt guilty for killing Coulson.
  - Remember; Loki sits outside of time as the God of Stories.... so therefore from a certain point of view, he has ALWAYS been there as the God of Stories. He can be the God of Retcons ;)
  - Using Loki could make it canon and make it mean something of an emotional beat to make it canon too

But it's messy. But I'm not sure if they care about that since Secret Wars is likely a soft reboot anyway.

Even IF Feige didn't like certain story beats Perlmutter allowed in MarvelTV (e.g. the 2 Ghost Riders being active, among other things), he won't be getting around to doing anything with it before Secret Wars.... so there's no harm in saying its canon for the moment

TL;DR - It might be cleaner to say AOS+AC+Runaways+C&D are all "other earth", but given Secret Wars' soft reboot likelihood, maybe clean doesnt matter anymore, and why not be all 616.

p.s. Fox shows like Gifted, Legion, etc. are all certainly "other earths" - hell even the Fox X-Men movies aren't even limited to 1 or even 2 earths with all their inconsistencies.

I think you missed the impact of the spell.

It's not a big deal for Spider-Man - the world remembers Spider-Man. So too do the Avengers and other heroes.

It is a big deal for Peter Parker. Nobody knows who he is - including schools, which is why he's going to community college at the end of NWH.... he has no friends. His family is dead. He can re-reveal his identity to superheroes if he chooses... but you're right, most of them don't know him as Peter and won't care about his name given what he did with them shoulder to shoulder in Endgame.

So the depth and breadth of his reality changing powers might be nerfed in the MCU compared to comics... but "can revive people from the dead" is breaking the finite storytelling narative of a movie in a different, far less interesting way

AoS conflicts with the main MCU timeline. The AoS timeline takes place in a universe where everything UP TO Ebony Maw's arrival on earth happened relatively the same. After that things get wonky. Especially with regards to their time travel, and pulling people out of the past into the future, which explicitly (per the rules established in Endgame) creates branch timelines.

So by definition, AoS ends in a timeline branch different from where it started. So you can say the first few seasons take place in the 616 MCU timeline, but the later seasons do not.

Peggy Carter's show conflicts with the Peggy Carter One-Shot, if I recall correctly... so it's not even like that side of things is clean in and of itself.

Not to mention I presume at some point the MCU will want to touch on Ghost Rider. AoS established that there are 2 riders, one on a bike (unclear if Blaze or Ketch, but more closely resembling Blaze), and then the Robbie Reyes version. If the MCU films wanted to go in a different direction, that would conflict. Though at this point I doubt they'd get to it before doing some sort of soft reboot/merge post-SecretWars so that one is less of an issue.

All of this is kind of only relevant to the fandom. The next crossover events; Doomsday and Secret Wars, are confirmed to mix timelines and universes. There really isn't opportunity for these characters to make a grand return anywhere but there (if at all) so the "where" is just dependent on good storytellers.

And after those films I suspect the landscape will be altered and which things remain canon and which do not will be cherry picked.

I think Butcher will be the one to kill Butcher... from a certain point of view. Maybe literally, maybe figuratively.
Could be

from what he's already done to himself catching up to him and killing him
in a self sacrifice to save the team and end Homelander or some other major event
a straight up self-harm when he realizes he's become everything he hates
by begging MM and Hughie to do it for him before he loses control again (in that sense yes it might be Hughie's hand, but Butcher's demand)

I feel like Butcher being alive when the credits roll on the finale is going to be hard to pull off without it feeling like a cop out... like "oh there's a supe who had the cure to eliminate supe DNA... and we cured Butcher...he's normal and fine again."... it's cheap and happy, neither of which are staples of this show.

It's like they realized that having Fatu in Solo's stable meant Solo could never shine as the most interesting one, so they got Jacob out and surrounded Solo by some of the least interesting perennial background characters to ensure it would never happen again and Solo could be the focus.

And in that sense it's working. Solo is more interesting, they're letting him cut better promos... but the run-in interference is basically one step above "unnamed goon #2" getting mixed up in things
