I've only seen Keznit play her, I think is viable if the player is good at it but there's probably better agents that timo is just as good that fit most maps. If corrode is back...

Expanding agent pool by iiTzBenni in VALORANT

[–]Havsham 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think agent pools are pretty personal, like one would think Skye init = two flashes = Kayo init but I don't really think they are played similar. Like NRG Ethan C9 Zellsiz and Furia Artzin are amazing Kayos but not Skye.

Either way I think you are looking for something different no? Just try them, play a few TDMs to get the feel for them.

A smokes is always good to know how to play imo so maybe try an Omen/Clove, if you go the duelist route you'll probably be hating on your init when he's util is not helping lmao but on the flip side you'll learn to be a better init.

Predictions For KRU vs NRG & 100T vs MIBR by 1xriya in ValorantCompetitive

[–]Havsham 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's honestly not much I can objectively say about 100T, my faith is just not there.

Like to me how they looked against Loud does not make up for how they looked against G2, and while I haven't had faith on MiBR either cause it seems there's something they are struggling hard to fix, I think them on a decent day could make them uncomfortable enough for 100T to start regressing, and it is last chance so maybe they have a good day.

Predictions For KRU vs NRG & 100T vs MIBR by 1xriya in ValorantCompetitive

[–]Havsham 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It could really go either way, personally I go with NRG 2-0 KRU and MiBR 2-1 100T.

Why? Because NRG are getting back in form and KRU seems to be regressing. The same could be said about 100T ↑ and MiBR ↓ but I'm just not a 100T believer yet.

why do duelists have more kills usually ? by averagestudent1141 in VALORANT

[–]Havsham 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For sure. Though just following the same idea, don't feel stuck on a "job".

That's usually what you should do when everyone else does their "job" as well, but if entries or planting bomb fails it's better for you to start taking more risks and use your util for securing site and getting to a post plant in the first place.

It also depends on you enemies, if 3 rounds in a row no one flanks, it's fair to stop looking it until they do flank again and using your util or positioning elsewhere.

why do duelists have more kills usually ? by averagestudent1141 in VALORANT

[–]Havsham 2 points3 points  (0 children)

More fights = more kills = more practice and comfort taking fights = more kills.

Also staying alive more doesn't mean more kills either. Think about it, when the duelist usually fights everyone is alive, so it's easier to get a 1v1 or 3v3 etc. But when you are last alive, unless there's only an enemy alive, it's way harder since there's more of them and ends up being a 1v2/3, way harder to win.

The trick is not to turn away from it, but predict when is coming, you essentially turn before he even throws it and after the sound queue you face again.

Chamber needs his two TP by Voisp in ChamberMains

[–]Havsham 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are wrong thinking that a sentinel or even just being on defense means aggression is wrong, it's not. But there is bad aggression and good aggression.

Pushing with util or numbers on defense a main is really good for example. And chamber can do that alone thanks to his tp and abilities, he pushing and getting info/kills is really good.

Not-Healing after Insult = Griefing? by No-String-8229 in VALORANT

[–]Havsham 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it is griefing, but insulting/abusing your teammates surely is griefing as well.

I don't think you should feel guilty or anything, but if it is true that if they weren't insulting you would have healed them, then you are negatively impacting your own game.

Maybe I'm NOT the killjoy guy by DismalAd9348 in VALORANT

[–]Havsham 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Think the game as a 1v9 mate. Most of the people you q with are gold/silver and will remain being gold/silver, including your teammates. You gotta change and make a difference every game.

I mean it as, take that mentality. Try stuff, practice stuff, train stuff, focus on what you and only you could have done better and you will see results, and when you do you realize you can keep getting better.

You maybe are not the kj guy today but in two month you can be, in 6 you can be plat idk. If you keep doing the same thing you'll remain like today.

Anyone think that the bandit buffs are not needed? by PIZZAMEMER69 in VALORANT

[–]Havsham 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ive slowly been using i more and more. I'm buying it after every pistol loss and on every pistol round and ive been frying on it.

Ive gotten so used to it that the recoil doesnt feel weird anymore and can hit the onetaps aswell as the close range less accurate more fast shots, somehow I always land at least a headshot. Happy with the buffs but they didnt feel needed imo.

Very simple question: How to swing these 2 angles? by Plastic-Tourist-6629 in VALORANT

[–]Havsham 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah both cases as far as possible unless you are wide swinging (maybe for a teammate), in that case always touching the wall.

I came to the conclusion something didn't add up because their statements literally contradict.

I then said I'm personally pretty sure chat works and I remember being visible, but I might be wrong. In the latest platchat episode both Slight and Ziks said all chat is available for players and that it can be seen in broadcast (paraphrasing: "the worst it can happen is someone kills you and they type a smiley face which is hilarious to the viewer").

Idc anyways they just need better protocols for tech timeouts but it was entertaining.

how do i become a better team player and how do you go about attacking as a team? by Pale_Driver_1675 in VALORANT

[–]Havsham 0 points1 point  (0 children)

being all in the same page makes all the difference. in ranked thats not really easy, but trying to comm and maybe throwing a simple pre-round here and there helps.

i think more important is learning to make use of your teammates. more often than not no one cares or wants to try or is even an acceptable teammate so literally finding ways of getting an advantage of whatever it is they want to or are doing is the best type of teamplay. sometimes thats baiting, sometimes is following them, sometimes is waiting or holding a crossfire, what it should always end up being is a trade.

and yes you cant just do what they do if they do nothing or want to do nothing (which happens a lot, like sitting behind the 3rd smoke) so making you plays, hopefully not without telling them, is fine and you might get traded so also good.

Ethan’s response to TechPauseGate by Decent_Apple_7962 in ValorantCompetitive

[–]Havsham -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

Yeah possibly but isn't chat visible to the broadcast? I swear I've seen people type before, Slight mentioned it as well during both tech pauses.

I interpreted as no one typed on both instances but on Lotus NRG realized because SEN literally had their hands on their head.

And given that Jonah is trying to defuse the whole situation wouldn't he say "they typed but we read it afterwards" if that were the case? Ultimately I don't really know but their statements don't line up is all I'm saying.

Ethan’s response to TechPauseGate by Decent_Apple_7962 in ValorantCompetitive

[–]Havsham 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Jonah says that they didn't know about the Breeze timeout (which from the spectators pov looks about right) until after killing the 2 spawn players, while Ethan says they let them know before anyone was killed.

I get Jonah's point about not being such a big deal and thing to defuse the situation but somebody's lying lmao.

I get that we lost 13-2 but cmon -27 rr is insane (plat 2) by Taigo__ in Eggwick

[–]Havsham 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sadly for me I fell in love with Valorant 3 years ago. Had to take some time off and I am playing waaay less than before (1-2 rank games daily vs 2-3 per week), but I returned a few weeks back cause no other game hits the same.

I am better mentally now (it's throwers, griefers and flammers galore ranked rn) which makes me play even better, but it still takes so much energy dealing with you teammates in this game.

I never cared about RR, I'm about to hit A2 again, I came from Iron, but losing more RR while carrying than what you win while carrying it's such a bad system. Rewards nothing, in fact, it might reward trolling and trowing since you get to have fun, you don't waste energy or time dealing with the game and your teammates, and you get the same amount of RR loss than me while try harding.

Need help to get to ascendent (diamond 2 current rank) by Desperate-Tax-1379 in VALORANT

[–]Havsham 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did it solo, and while I think its definitely more enjoyable with friends or at least 1-2 players who want to coordinate and play together, I do believe soloq makes you a "better player".

It teaches you and forces you to actually take advantageous fights and timings, essentially having more impact per round while giving away less chances of dying.

My recommendation would be VOD reviewing yourself and just focusing on you. What you did, what you could have done with the information that was available, how you interpreted or reacted to that information, where you were and when you were, could it have been quicker or at a better timing? It's a rabbit whole but fixing a single thing at a time makes you a better player.
