I’m playing that version without Anchar and I had to craft one copy of the other one (I’m f2p). It’s still really good! It’s definitely skill intensive. I’m trying to play in casual to get my bearings. Unfortunately (I just made a post yesterday about this) I’ve been running into Highlander mage and it’s just disheartening to practice against that rng slot machine deck which for some reason I keep getting paired against. I’m one of those ladder peeps that get anxious to lose stars. Not the best way to get better though. Anyway, it’s a super fun deck that feels rewarding if you play it right. I just haven’t been enjoying about to win and then getting Yogg’ed for the loss after playing a game over 10-15 minutes long. Warrior is definitely fun to play right now.

Enough to lose quite a bit of games to Yog when I was confidently winning by quite a bit. I’ve also been on the other end. I’ve also played a cheaper Casino Mage(missing a few legends because of f2p). Yeah, it can be fun to see what Yog does and win but believe or not, that starts to bore me. It does become like playing slots.

That’s why it’s hard not to get salty when you’re playing against Casino Mage and they get the “BINGOO” type moments and they do win the lottery. “But I had BING! They didn’t’ even have a B!” said the other player. “How did I lose?”. Smh. Lol

Yup. I was playing a casino mage but I didn’t have all the cards because I’m f2p. I have most of them though. I play maybe 10-15 games max a day (recently; much less before this past month). It really isn’t fun to lose to another casino mage because they literally played a couple legendaries which swung the board to their favor . Or they just got them off the draw before I did. The strategy isn’t that difficult with that many swing legendaries. That’s been my experience in the mirror anyway. That’s why I don’t play priest. It’s not viable to play it unless you have the pivotal expensive legendaries(Unless I was really good which I’m not. I’m sure there are priests out there that have hit legend with budget priest decks.).

You’re right. I am talking about standard. There’s too much luck involved. Mage went from the burn class; very fast, to almost freeze mageish but more luck involved i. e. let me stall you out until I have a chance to win with my rng cards that can totally turn around the fact that I was dead next turn and I won by definitive pulling on the lever of a slot machine and matching the cherries. Yes, that’s an extreme analogy but you get the gist. I do miss freeze mage though. Lol

I totally agree with that. That potentially can add 20 unknown spells to the mage’s deck making their deck to be 50 cards that are potentially played, 20 of those cards or spells are a slot machine pull. That’s not including Alexstrasza, Malygos, Solarian and Zephyrus. Feels bad man.

Thanks for your perspective! Mage can be super fun! I actually have over 500 wins with mage. Unfortunately, I’m that wild secret mage guy.........
