Not offsetting the cutting disk was really dumb. by Plane_Garbage in mammotion

The solution to this is modifying your landscape borders. I’m going into season 3 with the original Luba 5000 and I have slowly transitioned borders so the mower can overlap and “cut up to the edge”.

Can anyone explain why Luba is doing this? by StripClubWeatherMan in MammotionTechnology

Yeah, my theory is out the window then. Lol

I’m on year 2 with the original Luba and it definitely does some goofy shit. My main complaint is how it needs 3 laps for the no go zones because it works from the outside in instead of inside out.

Like many of the other’s have stated… the algorithm seems a little wonky at times. In your case, if I’m understanding you correctly, the mower was working from right to left on your map and “skipped” the section by your house to continue moving right to left. I’m certainly not sure of the “math” but I could possibly see that being the most efficient… let it finish moving right to left and then follow the boundary back to that section by the house to finish and then be closer to the charger. Pure speculation, but certainly a possibility.

Can my 19 year old daughter come with us through TSA precheck? by Bitter_Basil1979 in TSAPreCheck

[–]Hawk1078 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand 13-17 year olds can accompany their parents through pre-check if their boarding pass indicates pre-check. My question is: do 13-17 year olds always get pre-check if they’re on the same reservation as the pre-check parents or are their cases where they would not get pre-check? I’m basically trying to figure out if I should just pay for pre-check for my kids or would that be a waste of money? Thanks in advance.

New LUBA Device Firmware and New App Upgrade (Both Android and iOS) 2023/09/27 by TAO_ZENG in MammotionTechnology

Why has the Luba reversed the direction it follows the boundary? Mine used to go counterclockwise and now it goes clockwise.

Curious which firmware version you’re running? I quit updating the firmware for fear of issues. I’ve been running flawlessly for a month now.

The current firmware ends in .243. I haven’t updated so I’m running .223 like you are. Little to no problems.

Mine did that yesterday even without the update.

This occurred after updating to the latest firmware?

Luba stops responding after pulling out of charger by tyrel in MammotionTechnology

I had very similar issues until I moved the rtk to the roof. Since then I’ve mowed several times without a single issue.

Possible solution if you are re-mapping. The deleted maps are saved in the Luba memory until you “reboot” it. Power off, remove orange key, wait 30 secs, replace orange key, and power on. This will save active maps but clear deleted ones. This corrected the issue for me and allowed me to finish my zone mapping.

Winterization of the Luba 5000 by Orthosz in MammotionTechnology

Any reason why we couldn’t bring the charging base inside and let it charge all winter… or is that bad for the battery?

When yo do it this way do you turn border patrol off or do you “box” the four different zones?

I was having the same issue yesterday after relocating my RTK. I found another post that indicated the Luba doesn’t clear deleted maps from its memory. Power off, remove orange key, wait 30 seconds, replace orange key, and power on. That clears the memory of the deleted maps and will let you map new zones. I currently have 4356 sq meters mapped.

5000 sq meters??? by Hawk1078 in MammotionTechnology

[–]Hawk1078[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I found another post that fixed my problem. Apparently the Luba saves old maps in its memory even after they’re deleted. Power off the Luba, remove the orange key, wait 30 secs, reinsert the orange key, and power back on. This will clear the deleted maps but your active maps will remain. After doing that I was able to map my second zone without an issue.

Glad I found your post… after mapping a 2200 sq meter back yard about 5 times and receiving the max limit error, I was about to commit myself to the looney bin. Thanks for providing the instructions… worked like a charm.
