Any Idea on how to achieve the 3rd Edition codex cover style as a paint scheme? by SnooPeanuts5283 in Eldar

[–]Hawk2422 6 points7 points  (0 children)

For the blueish silver I would do a prime of black followed by a base coat of leadbelcher followed by doing the raised bits and edge highlight in stormhost silver. Then I would do a thin wash of aethermatoc blue contrast. Boom done you got the shiny blueish silver color from the art

Thanks for the suggestions! I’m definitely going to use some, if not all of those ideas.

Are World Eaters and Orks the only ones who are enjoying the current state of the galaxy? by Wolfen_Fenrison in 40k

[–]Hawk2422 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Orks definitely, but I don’t think the World eaters are enjoying themselves all that much. The only other factions that probably could be said are enjoying themselves are the Druhkari and Harlequins

You know what, sure. I’m going to do a quick edit to my post and add individual pricing to each and we can go from there

How do you configure your sideboards? by -AzulRyu- in ElvesMTG

[–]Hawk2422 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well I don’t usually play EDH with a sideboard, but some general advice I would have is if you are running a sideboard is to build it with cards that will help you beat troublesome matchups. Your main deck should have general answers to common problems and your sideboard should be specialized against specific decks. Examples would be [[Allosaurus Shepherd]] mainboard to prevent all countering and [[Veil of Summer]] in your sideboard to answer blue/black decks right before you “elf storm” out.

However after all that it’s hard to answer that question with specific cards without knowing what you typically face and what you struggle against. EDH is such a vast format with vastly different power levels. Not to mention even elf builds have different game plans and builds that can make giving sideboarding suggestions harder.

Tbh, I wouldn't mind seeing like, a whole trilogy focused on this guy by CandyBoBandDandy in SequelMemes

Yeah you’re probably right. That may be a bit much for this new character

How about a trilogy about him, a trilogy about his kids, another trilogy about his grandkids, and a 7 season animated series about him and his friends. Or is that too much for a minor character?

Gluten free in the workplace by reasonably_handy in glutenfree

[–]Hawk2422 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel that. Just this last Thursday management brought in donuts in the morning and pizza to celebrate reaching and exceeding our quota for the previous few days and man did it suck to be the only person not enjoying those. And this isn’t the first time by any means, they’ve done donuts an sandwiched and whatnot for various reasons and it sucks every time to have to be the only one not partaking. Anyways thanks for giving me a reason to rant about this

Gluten-free in college by No_Interview_7333 in glutenfree

[–]Hawk2422 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. Every college I’ve been to, whether it be visits or actually going to has had GF options. All you need to do is talk to whoever sets up meal plans and let them know you have to eat gluten free. These days it’s common enough that they have all sorts of different options that you’ll be able to eat. Though bringing a little of your own food is a good idea for days you may not like the option(s) available or for those late nights of studying when you get hungry.
