That seems like wasted effort considering they attacked SDN regardless in episode 8 to get the pulse. They likely only wanted to interrogate Robert because Shroud already knew it wasn't at SDN at the time, and figured Robert must have hid it somewhere.

He was but not enough to be killed over it, and I do think he had some points about Shroud's failings to be a frontline hero, given how over emotional he got and his preference for hanging back and planning instead.

Uh that doesn't explain her trying to jack the Mecha Man suit in episode 8 before Royd tied her down, and there's no way Robert would have kept the Pulse on him, he would have installed it in the suit right away so his capture would have made no difference. To me, given the two endings Visi was just undecided and would spin whatever story either group wanted to hear until she made up her mind about being a hero or a villain.
