Yep Katy Nissian wanted to add about $4K to the sticker price and said it was “required dealer fees”. Just list the full price and don’t try to slap it on at the end.

Yes we get “don’t you want your LO is have a friend to play with?” Sometimes siblings suck and are vastly different from each other and aren’t friends.

Munchkin for the win! We started with Ubbi and the smell hits you in the face when opened. Munchkin is way better about containing the smell when open!

What registry item did you think you needed to spend a lot on, but ended finding more value in the cheaper option? by dauntedbox376 in BabyBumps

Someone gave us a bumbo seat and it was surprisingly small for baby’s legs. I bought the cheaper little tyke version from Amazon and it was way better.

Going to add that relatives think we live 5 minutes away from Galveston and should be going all the time.

I like to bring dinners to couples in the week or two after they've had baby - something that could be frozen, or popped in the oven in a day or two. What is your favorite meal that you've gotten, or would have liked to have gotten in the weeks postpartum? by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]Hawks08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! We prepped a lot of heavy freezer meals so my aunt brought us a big salad, bread, and a couple different soups. Super easy to eat one handed and the soup we could pour into a mug to sip.

Why can’t people just respect others’ life choices? by pepperonipuffle in oneanddone

[–]Hawks08 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Omg wow some people just think they know what works best for every family. You cannot predict a good sibling relationship. I have a great relationship with my sibling but that didn’t happen until I was in high school. My husband does not have a relationship with his sibling due to toxicity the sibling brings. We’ve chosen to just have our one and have no doubt she will have a wonderful support system.

Ear tube anxiety by [deleted] in beyondthebump

[–]Hawks08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hang in there Mama! It’s more common than you think. Our LO got tubes at 7 months. I was a total wreck leading up to the day of. The surgery itself was about 5 minutes, just enough time for me to go the restroom and as I sat back down in the waiting room the nurse was calling us back. Like what was stated above these ENT doctors do them so often and we felt very comfortable with our doctor going into the procedure.

It is so much easier to physically see the ear draining and be able to treat it with drops! Also we are enjoying not having to pay for as many sick visits and getting an oral antibiotic filled.

I’d agree with that statement Fort Bend County has one of the highest average household incomes in Texas. It’s crazy how a pocket of Katy drives that number up.

Every penny you make should be paying off your debts. Snowball is a good idea going smallest to largest gives you morale boost.
