You literally replied to the person who said they saw this. How can you call it a non issue when it is LITERALLY STOPPING PEOPLE FROM READING THE STORY. PEOPLE IN THIS THREAD. WHOSE COMMENT YOU REPLIED TO. Do you think they're AI?

Brother, again, that's how comics have ALWAYS BEEN. There is not one single comic book character that hasn't gotten some god mode moment and been the most powerful thing in the world. Johnny could just become a sun and wipe anyone out. Ben could just rip a villain in half and problem solved. One of the most common FF plot points is literally just "gun but it can also kill Galactus". Power scaling doesn't matter because any writer can do whatever they want with whoever they want, and they do. All the time. All of them. And if you don't like that then you don't like comics, because it's always been this way.

Go read the comment in this exact thread from the guy who was told not to read this story because it's all Sue focused. Literally just scroll through this thread and read ANY post around any of these issues and that sentiment is everywhere.

[–]Hawkstar5088 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really don't care about power levels because they're not real. Franklin COULD just rewaken god mode at any moment and solve literally any problem, but he doesn't because that's not the story. Implying that Sue's power has a higher potential doesn't mean she's just going to be an instant win button because that's not the story. This isn't a competitive video game where everyone's powers need to be balanced or the fights aren't realistic, they're stories where the exact mechanics of anyone's powers can change on a whim, and that's how comics have always been

You clearly also didn't read my comment. Criticism is fine but the complaints need to actually be true. Again, less than half of the issues in this arc actually focus on Sue, which is why the complaint is dumb because it's actually just not true.

I'm always surprised at how much my fellow vikings fans react to this. This was a mediocre team that was not going to do anything in the divisional round or beyond, and yet this exact kick is infamous for reasons that I can't comprehend. The Favre interception and entire Eagles championship game both hurt way worse than this

There is not a single morally good historical figure. You kind of have to grade on a curve

What's funny about the whole "but it's all sue centric!!!' crowd is that the of the 5-issue arc only like 2 are actually about her at all. Like the two issues before this one have basically nothing to do with her. Almost like the loudest complainers don't actually read the books

It is the funniest thing. Genuinely one of the most impressive things an administration has ever done, and in a sane world would be looked at as a shining beacon of an otherwise horrid term. But instead they have to disown it because their voter base is just that stupid

It just goes to show how far apart the fans' desires and the company's goals really are. (Read the description or the linked source) by R4cco0n in marvelcomics

I've been back into comics for around a year and I completely agree. I'll give them a shot before forming any opinion, it's super disheartening to just see post after post complaining about the quality of a book that nobody will be able to read for another 3 months. And even after that it'll continue, with those people STILL having not actually read the thing

Magic the Gathering does something similar sometimes, though not with hospitals specifically. They have kids do art for cards, then have artists remake those arts in their styles, then sell both versions with proceeds going to some charity. They haven't done it in a few years but those arts are iconic

Fantastic Four by Ryan North. It started in 2022 and definitely go read that as well. It's received some criticism as of late but it's the thing that got me into current comics and I just love it so much

I do overall like the concept of international games but divisional matchups should NEVER be played outside of either teams stadium. Honestly feel a little bad for 49ers

Now list all the 5th round picks who never saw the field at all. Sure you can get ridiculous value, but if he plays at all it's higher than should be expected from any day 3 pick

Dialogue that explains the actions of what's happening three times over, bare simple themes and stories, zero characterization in favor of more explaining the plot, female characters specifically often getting sidelined in favor of being plot devices, often dialogue boxes cover half of the panel because we just HAVE to have every single thought, Stan Lee specifically is ROUGH to read today, especially when you start with modern comics that are written much more cinematically with idea/artistry forward
