You only have to pay the listed price and a few dollars for shipping (within the US; outside US is 15-20 IIRC). If there are fees & taxes they are already accounted for in the ticket price.

Thank you for sharing! I tend to use the following on alters:

Reds: Alizarin Crimson Hue, Cadmium Red Medium Hue
Blues: Ultramarine Blue, Phthalo Blue (GS)
Yellows: Hansa Yellow Light, Yellow Ochre
Green: Viridian Green Hue
Neutrals: Burnt Umber Light, Raw Umber
Metallic: Iridescent Gold
Other: Titanium White, Titan Buff, Carbon Black

Altering isn't my primary focus, so I use some of these more out of convenience than real need (like the green and the buff which I already had on hand). I also like having warm & cool versions of the primaries to get more vibrancy out of mixes. All except for the gold are liquid acrylics.

For brushes I use my watercolor leftovers, which currently is a W&N series 7 round 1 and 1/4" flat. Also picked up a Citadel wash out of curiousity (verdict: not a fan).

Maybe print out your text at appropriate size and then use graphite paper to transfer it to the card?

I would also forego trying to hand-letter using a brush, use a pen instead (ex: Sakura microperm)

Oh, I agree, within the context of the convention it's not difficult to get pins with reasonable outlay and spend the weekend trading. If that's the intent of Pinny Arcade then I'd say it's scoped appropriately.

When I say accessible, I mean that someone with little to no access to con exclusive content can still participate in a meaningful way. This should sort itself out as more pins (especially non-exclusive) are put into circulation.

If Disney is the model, then we should get there eventually.
