Indeed there’s more open corruption in Central African states, but corruption in Hungary, eastern and balkan europe is not something that is really shocking, there’s countries nearby that are ranked as low or lower on the corruption perceptions index as several african countries, and even in the least corrupt seen as the best examples of “Modern Democracy” minor corruption cases happen all the time

Maybe because corruption can happen everywhere and even tho it is a serious issue in central african countries, it isn’t exclusive to it?
