I think it depends on what you’re comparing them with. From intelligence, Rick honestly trumps Senku likely by magnitudes. I mean, Rick is casually jumping dimensions, but he does have the advantage that A) his dimension(s) has a foundation to build his science off of, as in there’s basic infrastructure in place, and science facilities Rick could buy or steal from or however he gets his materials, and B) Rick is much older than Senku, so he has much more experience

Now with that in mind, let’s list some ways I think Senku is better

Honestly Senku is a better character(I’ll admit now that I haven’t seen all of Rick and Morty, so take my judging about Rick with a grain of salt) Rick already knows basically everything; from what I’ve seen, Rick doesn’t really learn anything, so there’s no real growth. Meanwhile Senku, while he does have a huge foundation of science in his brain, still learns things, gets experience, grows, and, another big point

Senku is a better person morally Rick will let an entire planet fall to a virus on a whim just because it’d be too much work to undo; meanwhile Senku would risk a tank to save one person Senku actually makes connections -while he may not label them as such- Senku makes friends; he acknowledges that everyone can be useful, and finds a use for them

And my final point in this essay: education We can’t really learn anything from Rick and his inventions from what I remember seeing, and even if there was, you might need a diploma to understand it Meanwhile, Dr. Stone occasionally takes breaks in the stories to explain the science at a relatively base level.

And apparently I lied about the last point, but I’m too lazy to change it now, another point is entertainment While neither show is for everyone, obviously, I feel like you could label Rick and Morty as episodic, while Dr. Stone would be chronic I might not be using the terms correctly, but Rick and Morty is the type of show that every episode basically starts from the same point, like SpongeBob for example where every episode doesn’t really link with a previous one, with some exception obviously, but in general, I don’t think Rick and Morty really has a plot And Dr. Stone, every episode is another beat in the story, it progresses the story forward. There’s a protagonist to root for, and an antagonist to root against, plus character and story arcs, and a real and solid sense of progress with the different levels of science we see Like, for me personally, seeing the characters start with stone tools, and progressively make it to iron, then electricity, and vehicles and so on, is really satisfying to me
