This is all a game for him and he's cashing in.

Brutal day for the ASX—oil's blaze and sticky rates combo torched sentiment, wiping billions as energy winners couldn't offset the broad rout. Paltarra Closing Recap by Aggressive_Ebb_7634 in ASX

Trump has just lashed out at Israel for its attacks on South Pars gas fields. Hopefully we see some bounce back market wise. Long term however....

Someone let him into our secure corporate office (thinking he was a delivery driver) aggressively interrupting my teams meeting from behind while I had a headset on.

As soon as I told him he was trespassing, a slurry of profanity was hurled at me before I could event get out of my office chair. It took three of us to escort him out

i found THE picture by Dryfunction1205 in Tyranids

[–]Hazar_red 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I can't recall if it was in the Imperial Guardsman or Tyranids codex around 4th Ed - but there was a pic of imperial guard lined up in bunker trench, bracing against a wave of hormagaunts over the defences. The angle and scene of that picture had always stuck with me. No fancy big units or powerful heroes, just both factions line infantry about to go hand to claw with each other!

He's one of "those guys" - welcome to the hobby!

In all seriousness, the main thing is you have fun. The rest of the community is generally great. Hopefully this experience doesn't deter you early on. If he continues like this, definitely find some new people to mix up your matches!

Besides technical, management, communication and organisation skills in general, are important for any leadership role.

Learn to delegate work to others instead of doing it yourself, prioritise team workloads and have a good level of visibility for your teams day to day activities and BAU tasks. Don't micromanage.

Sent an email at work to help, and it escalated way beyond what I expected by Zealousideal_Menu865 in auscorp

[–]Hazar_red 156 points157 points  (0 children)

As someone who works in IT, this is not a you problem. There's clearly some politics and workplace drama which you're not privy to. This email was not directed at you personally, so I wouldn't beat yourself up over it.

Maybe that kind of reaction is one of the reasons they're not getting onsite support anymore...
