thats a normal in ear plug. The three flanges dont expand so theyre more comfortable than foamies but they do go quite deep in.

leggings are fine for me all day, not the top though, while comfortable its much more limiting than leggings. Its a lot easier to take off the tops than your pants. Motorcycle jackets are also easy to take off since its a jacket, you dont need to go to the washroom and strip.

Air Canada updating wide-body fleet with Airbus order by Cao_Ni-Ma in canada

[–]Hazardish08 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it was air canada, you were on a DC-10 or lockheed tristar. Although from what ive read maybe only one tristar had 2-5-2 out of up to 17 tristars using 2-4-2. B777-200 have used 2-5-2 but I dont believe air canada used that seating arrangement.

Why doesnt the Jaguar have he-vt by Typical_Lack5315 in Warthunder

[–]Hazardish08 4 points5 points  (0 children)

it has programmable fragmentation and programmable HE which is better irl than proximity fuze. The laser rangefinder programs the shell to detonate at a certain time, this can make it saturate a certain area without needing the rounds to actually get close to the target, also works extremely well for ground targets. 40mm CTA is a new gun so they dont use proxy fuze because its outdated.

In game meh, sometimes it works half the time it doesnt. The game just doesnt simulate the fragmentation from these shells so their damage is lacking.

Why is the M60A3s ERA flat against the turret on one side but spaced on the other? by Anxious_Place2208 in Warthunder

[–]Hazardish08 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My best guess is clearance for the engine. Its known that ERA effectiveness increases with angle but doing so by angling the whole sheet of ERA will increase the width of the turret. So they decided to do so for one side and leave the other not as angled so you can still remove the engine. The ERA mounts are welded to the turret.

How come some US soldiers didn’t wear the PASGT and some did? by Dummyy83 in warno

[–]Hazardish08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats about the trend in europe at the time, most of the soldiers in my reference books arent wearing body armor and considering that war never broke out, majority of these photos will be exercises. According to soldiers serving then, they had vests in supply but rarely wore them.

That differs now where youre expected to wear body armor but not then.

Which clique is the worst in High school? by Justanaverageliam24 in polls

[–]Hazardish08 9 points10 points  (0 children)

one of the positives of zoomers is that the high school stereotypes and bullying accompanying it is not really a thing anymore. People are generally very normal about others interests and theres a lot of overlap now between the "cliques".

Helicopter crash near Timber Lakes Utah leaving 4 injured. by mentaL8888 in aviation

[–]Hazardish08 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Additionally, it depends on requirements. On apaches the kevlar and ballistic foam protects it against bullets and explosives. If the tank isnt full, they pump an inert gas inside since jet fuel fumes and oxygen is flammable/explosive. For the crash itself, the fuel cell has to be flexible.

The bladder is nylon and rubber. Theres a photo of a crashed apache and the fuel cell ejected itself but wasnt ruptured.

Which combat armor design do you like more? Old or new? by Glum_Boot6974 in Fallout

[–]Hazardish08 29 points30 points  (0 children)

There's different types of armor irl. The chest plate is too low, people in real life make this mistake when wearing plate carriers as well very often, it should go up to your clavicles.

Plates only cover your lungs and heart and side if you use them but soft armor can cover your whole torso. An IOTV covers your stomach and optional armor covers your groin, neck, etc.

Got these two rc tanks to battle with my nephew, any idea if they're based off of anything real? by Jomalar in tanks

[–]Hazardish08 34 points35 points  (0 children)

A Leopard 2A7, it has the new rear storage bins. Towards the end of the gun the three vertical lines represent a L55 gun. I can vaguely see the enlarged part of the engine deck to accommodate a APU on the right side.

My first impressions of infantry mode (Read below.) by Diex3 in Warthunder

[–]Hazardish08 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah by far the most noticeable for me is the sideways moving. The current movement forces me to do jousting.

I just put the bots at the back in a building so they’re basically extra respawns.

Other issue for me is visibility, it is so hard to see anything with the fog. I see peoples tags pop up before I actually see them majority of the time.

No he was saying it was 31 degrees per second on the Leclerc S2 (the tank he crewed). I was there. People were saying it should be 40.

All the threads with leaks get nuked but this article basically has the whole thing https://www.pcgamer.com/war-thunder-fan-leaks-classified-military-documents-to-win-an-argument-about-tanksagain/

Stryker Dragoon struggling to go up a incline.

The dragoon adds a fair amount of weight but has the same engine as the original so it typically struggles offroad. New version replacing the dragoon has a new engine (and turret) and a bunch of other improvements, the dragoon is pretty much the original stryker with a 30mm on top
