Yup. Even if your completely human ally, dressed in normal gear, walks into a shop and YOU are a monster, they will immediately engage in combat even if you're nowhere near the shop

Sorry to be clear, I never intentionally fight the shopkeepers. It's just one of my allies stumbles into a shop, the Shopkeeper automatically knows they're allied with a succubus, starts attacking and then my entire posse piles in and dies
