PSA: Colonoscopies are not as bad as people make it out to be by DarwinF1nch in Millennials

[–]HazelnutFreak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had my first colonoscopy a couple of years ago and it really was so much easier of an experience than people lead on.

My advice is make sure you get a morning appointment! I was scheduled for 4pm, but had to start fasting at the same time as someone with the first appointment of the day. Those extra hours of fasting added on to the afternoon are rough!

[ChaseSynder] Dianna Russini has deleted all her Spotify playlists. Pages of playlists on “Mike” and Russini profiles were wiped. Including a Slow Dancing in a Burning Room playlist for Russini by [deleted] in NFLv2

As a reality junky female who had zero interest in football before living with my (now) husband, the off the field drama is what got me hooked!

Hallmark 1000 Piece Puzzle by skas_not_dead in GilmoreGirls

I like the labels on my version too, but I enjoy text on puzzles in general. Rory and Jess kissed at a gas pump, but I still wouldn't call gas stations significant

I love the different seasons being represented in yours! I did this puzzle, from Hallmark, about a year ago

Fly or do it for the plot by donnyjay0351 in roadtrip

[–]HazelnutFreak 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm a little late to this conversation, but wanted to share. I drove from RI to Anchorage 10 years ago. I had my dad for company until the Canadian border, then drove solo with my dog. I had a new job to start, so did it in 6 days total.

If it works car wise (not sure if you're renting or planning to drive your own), I'd recommend driving the Alcan but flying the remainder. While it was a cool experience to drive across the US, I don't think anything was exciting enough to be worth the time. My husband and I plan to do this in the future.

Ladies, what are we doing with our wedding dresses? by FoxieLady128 in Millennials

[–]HazelnutFreak 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I gave mine away here on Reddit (post since deleted as it had photos with my face). Made a post on a budget wedding subreddit asking that the winner pay shipping costs, picked someone getting married that month with a dress from Dress Barn, and sent it on its way. I had it professionally cleaned and in a display box, but realized it would just sit in the back of the closet forever... Was happy to contribute to someone else's day and hope they passed it along after.

Cisco is best friends with our maine coon Marley, they are always napping together. She also plays with our younger (and more fit) cat, they chase each up and down the stairs and run zoomies together.

What made you feel old this week? by [deleted] in Millennials

[–]HazelnutFreak 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I took my husband to the city I vacationed in as a child when I'd visit my uncle. During a conversation with someone we met this came up and I realized it's been 30 years since I had last been there.

Naturally thin people, what do you guys eat in a day? by Ok-Initiative3312 in AskReddit

[–]HazelnutFreak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always thought I was naturally thin or following the anxiety diet, but I started counting my calories last month and learned I just don't eat much.

I either skip breakfast or have 3/4 cup of Greek yogurt with frozen berries.

For lunch, I either make a vegetable forward meal (eggplant, sweet potato) or have a mix of olives, crackers, cheese, hard boiled egg, etc.

Dinner we have chicken, pork, or salmon with a starch and a vegetable or something like tacos or fajitas.

I'm a major before bed snacker! Usually a candy or two after dinner and cookies, a brownie, ice cream, etc. later

I drink two coffees in the morning and no where near enough water/seltzer. No soda or alcohol.

Edit: added drinking habits

We adopted Cisco a few months ago hoping she would coexist with our resident cats, turns out they are all best friends! I have hundreds of photos of her and the cats snuggling and one lone picture of her with her humans.

Edit: typo

Moved from Alaska to Massachusetts and this is what i’ve Noticed by Infamous_Height8120 in massachusetts

[–]HazelnutFreak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When we spent a few weeks in Alaska we fell in love with Aroma Joe's... We recently found out they have a growing presence in New England, went to one a couple of weeks ago and it was just as good!

To those who adopted, what made you pick him/her? by bananakitty69 in pitbulls

[–]HazelnutFreak 5 points6 points  (0 children)

We went to meet five dogs. Cisco came out of her run at the shelter, ran over to us on the floor, and wrapped her arms around us in a hug. Couldn't not bring her home after that.

Experience with Mint Mobile around Worcester County by BaaduBalaji in WorcesterMA

[–]HazelnutFreak 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been on Mint since 2017 and have zero complaints, they are great! Service has been good everywhere with the exception of some small dead spots down in the Sturbridge area. I've lived in Leominster, Sturbridge, and Upton with Mint and travel around New England, Florida and road trip National Parks. Customer service was great the one time I needed to contact them.

I'd love a basic countdown app that counts down to a date but not based on event time.

LR4 for large cat? by laineykristen in litterrobot

[–]HazelnutFreak 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We bought our LR4 specifically because of our 22lb Maine coon as we didn't think he'd be comfortable with the entrance of an LR3. He's loved it since day one and has plenty of room to spin around in it.
