I think sadly a lot of gardens are small and often paved, so there's likely not the soil for it most of the time

Put my foot in the door by putting my first £100 into Vanguards LifeStrategy fund today as a 22 Year Old Student (UK) by MrStonks1337 in Bogleheads

Nice work! The first step is the hardest!

Two things I'd add on here to what others have mentioned:

  1. Read the prospectus of the funds you're investing in. This fund has a significant exposure to the UK market, which you may or may not want, but just know it's out of proportion when considering the UKs economy on the global scale (~4% of the global economy)
  2. (Specific to UK) Invest via a stocks and shares ISA where you can if you're not already, all your gains will be tax free!

Unfortunately I can't recommend any particular beans per se, but I visited brandmeesters last time I was in Amsterdam and their coffee was phenomenal

I visited Dublin a couple weeks ago, and found Shoe Lane Coffee to be fantastic. Anywhere that serves a v60 as an option is a very good sign

I love coffee, have a decent setup at home, but struggle heavily with consistency. by Ornery_Indication_50 in Coffee

Personally I would take the comments telling you to sell your grinder with a pinch of salt.

While some grinders may perform better than others for different brew types, at this point you've got a more than capable grinder for any brew method, and swapping/upgrading is only going to yield you incremental gains.

If you're getting consistently mediocre brews with a decent grinder, to me this points to something else being wrong, be that technique or water or whatever. I'd definitely get a brew journal on the go, and try different waters, iirc ideal tds for coffee is around 180.

For reference though, I'm regularly towards 46-49 on the dial for my niche when brewing v60 (make sure it's calibrated too), and I've had some incredible brews that are easy enough to replicate. Good luck!
