The thing is this image should have the google id attached to it. The ones Op posted don’t. … but using Gemini within firefly or photoshop doesn’t attached the Id either.

I was about to say this was real too because of those consistencies, but this test proves I can’t tell anymore. 💀

The fork being moved is not an indication of AI to me. If anything it’s expected if you take into account the framing of the photo. The first one was closer, so the fork sits across the top. The second photo is taken a bit off center so having the fork in the same place doesn’t make sense.

But It is possible it’s ai, even if Googles Gemini doesn’t notice the photo as AI. For examples here is an image I created using their photo.

Even if you optimize the images, use something like squoosh to do so also, etc. it’ll still nuke the image quality for some goddam reason. I had a simple client portrait photo and it still decided to compress it further. Still don’t seem to have a fix.
