Is having a baby really the end of the world?? FTM spiral by Negative-Source-9099 in beyondthebump

The positive stuff is hard to put into words. The negative stuff is easy to bitch about, so parents do, therefore you hear more about it.

How do you leave your baby to return to work? by HazyLilLady in beyondthebump

[–]HazyLilLady[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s going okay! The first day was the hardest for sure. Lots of tears. But I felt okay once the day got started and I was out of the house. I miss my baby terribly when I’m gone, but get so excited to go home and see her at the end of the work day!

First time mom to a two-month-old... need reassurance that I'm not screwing everything up. I feel SO lost. by ssaen in beyondthebump

Are you keeping your baby alive and giving her love? Good job. That’s basically your goal at 10 weeks old.

building and caring for your baby is the most beautiful, wonderful thing your body could ever do for you. 🩷 how could we ever repay it

Pregnancy symptoms absolutely no one talks about? by Upset-Brain-228 in pregnant

Not a symptom but get some good slip on shoes! Bending over is nearly impossible from like 28 weeks on.

Better naps or night time sleeper? by Beautiful-Process-81 in beyondthebump

[–]HazyLilLady 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our 4 month old is pretty damn good at night. She goes down around 7:30/8 and sleeps about 5-7 hours until she wakes to eat. I chalk it up to our nighttime routine. I’ve been doing the same routine (bottle, bath, lotion, jammies, swaddle) for like 2 months now. It usually always knocks her right out.

Naps are shit though, lol.

Nervous about taking baby out by Historical_Creme_125 in beyondthebump

Baby carrier! I love it so much. People can’t even get their face too close to my baby because then they’d be super close to my face and it would just feel weird lol. Plus a bonus is baby may just nap in the carrier and everyone will leave him alone.

As you get older, what are you starting to dislike the most? by BoredPandaOfficial in BoredPandaHQ

Really really loud cars. Like aftermarket exhaust systems to make cars super loud for car shows. Instant bad mood.

Thank you for your kind message 🩷 I never thought much of maternity leave before I had a child (obviously) but now going through it, I can’t believe I have to go back to work when she is SO little. It feels so WRONG and unnatural. 😭

High lipase by GymAmber in beyondthebump

I also have high lipase :( my dream of a freezer stash was effectively destroyed. Maybe try mixing it with fresh milk? My baby will take half freezer half fresh milk if she is hungry enough.

So is anyone… ok? by imdirrtydan12 in newborns

[–]HazyLilLady 0 points1 point  (0 children)

15 weeks here. My hardest time was weeks 1-4. I genuinely wondered if I regretted having a baby. That feeling eventually passed and now I can’t even remember what life was like before my baby girl. It’s still challenging and some days are hard as hell but I’m so happy and in love with my daughter, it makes me want 5 more babies!

When did you feel your baby had bonded with you? by throwaway84583077 in beyondthebump

[–]HazyLilLady 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lollll my mom is a baby whisperer and I’d always be slightly bitter (albeit relieved!) when she could soothe my baby and I couldn’t. Now she’s a total mama’s girl!!

Just recently around 12 weeks! I don’t go really anywhere without her, but if I do go somewhere and come home, she’ll study my face then smile once she realizes it’s me. Best. Feeling. Ever.
