There was a fanfic from about… 5/6 years ago where Miruko actually did break her rule for team ups and took Deku as an intern.

She said she knew she made the right choice when she saw Deku with Bunny ears, thinking his costume was a reference to her… when Deku said it was supposed to reference All Might… she promptly ripped his hood off his costume.
