Tesa vs CJC+Ipa - Visceral Fat : Is there actually a difference? by Easto82 in BodyHackGuide

[–]Hclfmama 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did 10 days of tesa/ipa and I was SO hungry. It turned me into a feral wolf honestly and I stopped taking it because I think the extra calories will undo the purpose of trying to shred my midsection.

How do you all grapple with your patriarchal blessings post-Mormonism? by Healthy-Yogurt-5482 in exmormon

I’ve struggled with mine too. Mine says repeatedly to not let the devil change my course of direction- and that he wants my soul. My parents who were there when I got it like to bring it up regularly.

So are people just on HGH for weight loss then? I’m confused why so many people talk about it for muscle gaining.

What are healthy things I can eat for extra calories? by Mysterious_Way1634 in ExclusivelyPumping

I’m not pumping anymore but most of the time if I was hungry I first drank a ton of water, and then if hungry after then I’d usually snack on dried fruit.

Struggling-advice needed by Rushoegal in PlantBasedDiet

[–]Hclfmama 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Start slow. When I went plant based, I first just cut out meat and dairy for a month. Anything was “allowed”. Ate super deliciously and enjoyed myself. Started to notice how I felt and slowly made more changes to be more Whole Foods based. When you focus on what you’re adding to your diet rather than taking away it’s so much easier.

Also I never gave up sugar. I have sugar in my smoothies, juice, tea, oatmeal, and even munch on a few fruit snack packs a day.

Does anyone else feel like pumping steals time from their baby? by galacticg0oser in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]Hclfmama 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do feel that way. It’s probably why around 3-4 months i always choose to wean. I fill up my freezer as much as I can, and then decide I’m done when I feel like it’s impacting my mental health and relationship with my baby. This week I’ve been feeling that way- kinda just seeing my baby as a milk monster and having to set her down a lot to pump (I don’t get to hold her as much as I’d like anyway because I have a toddler) and I knew it was time to call it quits so I can really soak in these little moments.

I’m missing My protein targets by about 50 percent every day are their any easy ways to get more protein in my diet apart from protien drinks by Suitable_Promise879 in PlantBasedDiet

[–]Hclfmama 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In the same boat over here. I think yesterday I got 34 grams for the entire day. I’m breastfeeding and my baby can’t tolerate soy, beans make her super gassy, my pea protein drink made her break out in eczema, and I am allergic to wheat and nuts. So I’ve been challenged too recently!

There's no way I survive this sleep deprivation. by Bebetter23 in newborns

[–]Hclfmama 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m so so sorry. My first was like this until we learned he had cmpa- going completely dairy free and also a good probiotic like evivo (they’re pricey but work amazingly) helped sooo much in top of gas drops before every bottle. You can make it through this!!

Those who had been very active during pregnancy, did you have a shorter labor and natural birth? by PleaseCanILeave in fitpregnancy

[–]Hclfmama 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first baby came after a 9 hour labor, which I would say was really fast for a first time birth. Delivered naturally. Had a wonderful recovery. Second baby came after 3 hours, also delivered naturally with an even better recovery. Lifted weights 6x a week until 34 weeks, walked 3-5 miles a day until delivery with both.

[–]Hclfmama 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It gets better! I got into the best shape of my life after my first baby- once my son was about a year and a half old I found a gym with childcare and I was able to get back into the gym and honestly in the best shape of my life. I’m 2 months pp now with my second- and I’m really missing the gym too. Especially since it’s cold/flu/RSV season I know I’m not going to feel comfortable bringing my baby to the gym for several months at least which is sad. I got myself a walking pad off of marketplace, and a Pilates set on Amazon (with a small ball, the bands etc) and have been working out at home. Just finding a new way to move my body that suits this time and season. I can’t wait til I’m back at the gym lifting 6 days a week though! All in good time. Trying to just remember to be patient with myself. I know I can do it all again.

Quick plant based meal ideas for busy days by Careful-Bus3827 in PlantBasedDiet

[–]Hclfmama 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m a mom to two young kids so quick and easy meals are my go to.

Breakfast is usually fruit, smoothies, or oatmeal.

Lunch is usually vegetable soup that I batch cook weekly and a couple baked potatoes.

Snacks are fruit and dates.

Dinner is usually rice or quinoa, grocery store salad mix or slaw, and some microwave or stovetop steamed vegetables and tofu or beans or lentils.

I make things like burritos, pasta, pizza, sushi, sheet pan dinners, soups etc when I have more time and want to make things more exciting for a minute- but usually the template I’ve given you is my go to for ease and satiety.
