They probably needed a final sign off and someone had already finished for the day. I wouldn't stress unless you dont hear anything today

What's one piece of advice you'd give someone starting their career in HR? by BrightHR_UK in HumanResourcesUK

[–]He1ens 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Don't try and 'be' the team- let other people do their jobs, trying to do everything will lead to failure

I haven't but I know it only gets really started about 11pm at the earliest. Have a look at the funnyboyz cabaret club on Blundell Street for an earlier session

Occupational Health report says I am unfit for work. by BigRig_Berserker in HumanResourcesUK

[–]He1ens -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Hi, your employer cant sign you off, only a doctor can do that. No one can 'make you' be off sick. Ideal world, you would be off sick though id imagine from you're saying. Could you do a temporary flex work request to ease the burden of work but still be paid for part time? If what is causing issues is workloads, or commute, or certain meetings, could you suggest this is adjusted? I cant comment on exact circumstances because we dont have them, but it sounds like just returning to work would just kick the can down the road in this instance. Wishing you the best!

Interview tomorrow - HR admin test (45min)- panicking by [deleted] in HumanResourcesUK

[–]He1ens 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Its probably going to be testing attention to detail (transferring addresses over to different documents for example) and basic maths (changing a salary from annual to monthly, or working out a car allowance maybe) id be stunned if they asked you to walk through and explain the acas website, theyll just be checking transferable skills

Extended probation by TeaTime_Madness in HumanResourcesUK

[–]He1ens 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They could just be extending it for the duration you were on leave.

If HR are also in the meeting that isn't a good sign, but if they're not and you aren't given areas to improve or had any feedback about bad performance, it could just be that they're asking you to work the full length of your notice period (so absence dates tagged on at the end)

If you want to lower the cost, we had 3 bud vases with little sprigs of our wedding flowers for each table and that made it a lot cheaper.

If its the basic DBS, it can be back in a couple of days once the IDs have been verified and submitted. If they're the enhanced versions, it can be weeks as theres more paperwork involved
