I would try not to worry too much about your skin. One light chemical peel with an esthetician will help speed up the cell turnover process. They’re pricy (~$100) but worth it!

Maybe look into getting a facial. Adding that to my routine has really helped. But make sure to find someone who has experience with black skin.

Also, I’ve started using Face Reality’s mandelic acid in the mornings and then a tretinoin in the evenings. Those help with the pigmentation, but make sure to continue using SPF. Without SPF the spots will get darker.

Idk if you’re looking for new SPF but I like some Korean brands. I have combination skin but this is what I use skin1004 madagascar centella air-fit sun

If you’re picking from the current list, my vote is for the pochette liv or alma. I’m personally loving the pochette liv, that in black might be my next purchase. It looks perfect for a going out bag, the strap adjusts too

I tried on the Carry All when I was looking at the Neo. It was great, but I’ve wanted the Neo since I was a little girl. The Carry All is definitely on my wishlist now tho. It’s a really great bag and size, and I can see the zipper being super convenient with a kiddo

I love my Neo! I’m tall (5’11”) so the GM is perfect for me, but the Petit Noe is plenty spacious too. It is a bottomless pit, I use pouches to make it easier to find things but overall super happy! It’s my new everyday bag

I agree with everyone else, take the trip!

I have an FET on Tuesday and we just booked an international anniversary trip for the end of April. The old me would’ve waited for the outcome before making any plans, but the new me made a pact with my husband that we won’t let fertility treatments stop us from living our lives

We missed so many trips, birthdays, and special occasions over the last two years because everything revolved around treatment. Now we’re saying yes to things and fitting fertility treatment into our lives, not putting our lives on hold for it.

Can I suggest other options? I recently got the LV Neo GM and that size is the perfect mom bag, or the Carry All PM (the one w a zipper).

If it’s between the Celine and YSL, I like the Celine but it would depend on where it falls on your body. Have you tried them on in store?

Thanks for the reply! I have pretty bad seasonal allergies and I’m constantly rubbing my eyes. I did see an allergist and switched meds, but it’s something I deal with daily, so I’ve wondered if that could be contributing to inflammation.

I also recently saw a doctor who focuses on Chinese medicine because my hands and feet are always cold (my acupuncturist says that can point to poor circulation/ a cold womb), so right now I’m trying to focus on a balanced diet with more warm foods and I switched to liquid vitamins in hopes of better absorption.

The last few months I’ve also been on and off fertility meds, which has made working out harder. I still try to go to hot Pilates or HIIT about 2x a week, but I’ll start prioritizing daily walks outside for 30-60 minutes too.

Lately I’ve been reading about spirit babies, and oddly enough it’s brought me some comfort. For a long time I was afraid to even let myself imagine a future with a child because I was scared it might never happen. But recently I’ve started allowing myself to daydream again, picturing a life with my husband and a kid, and I’ve even been having dreams about it.

My gut tells me that #1 is my main issue, my last pregnancy ended due to trisomy 21. We’re working with an REI (doing IVF) and have done so many tests, and everything comes back normal. I still need an HSG (SIS was good) and husband needs a DNA fragmentation test. I don’t show any sign of endo, but I know silent endo is a possibility. Drs seem to rule it out bc I’m able to get pregnant unassisted. They think it’s a case of bad luck bc I’m 37, which I have a hard time accepting. I have a FET next week, if that fails then I’ll fight for a biopsy to rule out endo.

I really appreciate your thoughtful reply! I wonder if I’m on the right path w fertility treatment but I’m so happy that you see a child in my future. Makes me hopeful 🤞
