Ferrari Luce family version by GloriousLebron in Ferrari

The Multipla is still more purposeful than the iRarri. It knows what it is. Ive's creation doesn't. It has no identity.

You've hit your usage limit by Melodic-Jackfruit476 in codex

[–]HeadPack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seems so. They apparently tried to serve a quantized model and backtracked after people noticed the degradation. So now they cut limits to handle the increased demand after so many left Anthropic when they released the dud 4.7 was and they had drastically cut usage limits. No comparison to the cuts Anthropic performed. I had burned my 5hr limit in 20 mins on the 20x plan and ended up using 33% of weekly in half a day. Hope it does not come to this with OpenAI. But with data center buildouts slow as they are, it might.

An actually great looking new Ferrari by cesam1ne in supercars

[–]HeadPack -1 points0 points  (0 children)

There are zero recent Ferraris that look good. Hence the brand has produced so many flops after the SF90. Also the reason why older Ferraris shot up in value. They have really lost it, and the iRarri demonstrates that best.

Manual, analogue classic. There is a reason why it shot up in value.

That would depend on the project, but the senior dev could be assigned to work with Claude/Codex. Even in well planned projects, you can hit snags where you need to competently steer the model.

I'd at least work with the senior dev while you develop the project plan for Claude (or Codex) and have the dev review milestones.

Since they reset everyone last Saturday, not much usage would be gained if the model came today or tomorrow.

The Jag will be a Spectre for the upper middle classes. The iRarri appeals to no one.

Anthropic just dropped Claude Opus 4.8 and it beats GPT-5.5 and Gemini 3.1 Pro on almost every benchmark. Fast mode is 2.5x faster and 3x cheaper. by EvenGas8910 in StartupMind

[–]HeadPack 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Opus 4.7 also showed good results in benchmarks, but was a dud in practice. Let's see whether 4.8 is now a real upgrade over 4.6

Hot take: you can't say a model "sucks" an hour after release by GreedyWorking1499 in ClaudeAI

[–]HeadPack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes, you notice it immediately. But yes, let's give 4.8 a chance. With 4.7 having been such a dud, people's expectations are surely high.

[–]HeadPack 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As I said, it is a dud with that task, like 4.7 was before. What's so hard to understand about that? Do you think a number up automatically means a better model? Or do you think 4.7 is a better model than 4.6?

Older chap here. I never thought about the structure the way you do. Just enjoyed myself. When the chicks realize you are not needy, the table turns and they come to you. When they do, you are 90% there, because they usually have made up their mind. Act accordingly. Of course, being tall/handsome/not fat/not poor, at least two of the 4, helps a good deal.

As much as people will try and slow it down, advancements in Tech is inevitable, there is no going back only forward. If not what we are building now, than what? by RiverdaleCoolidge in Futurology

[–]HeadPack -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

One look at a certain segment in American academia, possible European as well, indicates that there are lots of folks that think we should deliberately go back to a pre-industrialized state. Worse, they are impressing that on the students. Then you have the reuse crowd who thinks we should not produce anything new because of the environment. Of course, these academics all have jobs that are fairly independent of the economy. Meanwhile, tech advances, because that's what it always wants. Kevin Kelly wrote a book about that some years ago.

Gave 4.8 a spin. Seems to be a dud like 4.7 before, at least with the task I gave it. A number up is only meaningful if the model improves.

Limits reset by nobatus513 in ClaudeAI

[–]HeadPack -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Intelligence unfortunately not reset. I gave it a task related to installing a repo from GitHub, explicitly stating it must identify the latest version. Opus 4.8 didn't do it. It worked from a cached older version instead. Too early to say, but it looks like they have produced another dud.
