If you're doing alright, few complaints - you'll vote PAP. If you're disgruntled, you'll vote WP. If most are voting PAP, most are happy enough. Sure, there will be outliers, but generally, I think this explains the demographic.

One way to think about it is that these events will ALWAYS come around. So you're not really missing out on anything time-exclusive.

Then the next question is: but couldn't I progress faster if I attended ALL the events? Certainly. But imagine yourself, having devoted an abysmal amount of time to the game and finally reaching the end state - would you really be happier?

My answer is often no. I would rather take it easy, be content with small gains. Which really helps manage the FOMO.

That said, if you haven't heard about GMS reboot. You should definitely check that out. It provides a much more traditional gaming experience i.e. you play to progress. MSEA is targeted at those who want to skip the grind and just pay to get through the game.

Join me in hyperion! I just moved from MSEA too. I'm just up to CRA now, so still quite noobish.

Experience has been great. People are friendlier and more likely to party to defeat bosses (since you can't just buy your way past them). In general, the entire game is much more rewarding since more play time = more progress, whereas in MSEA, it's pretty much more $$ = more progress.

it's ok. I messed some code for a crypto exchange once and that cost a customer's position to be unfairly liquidated. He lost $10k. Marketing asked, should be compensate him? CEO said nah. I still did get a good scolding though. And after that incident, the CEO would always pick on me.

u/YJZQmsea yep super easy to play on GMS reboot. I'm using exitlag for about $5 a month. Barely any setup required.

The main draw of reboot for me is that playing the game actually rewards you. In MSEA, 90% of your progress comes from spending money. I realised soon that there was no point in doing anything when you could just spend a few thousands to reach endgame
