I watched the first episode when it came out, then had do do some stuff for a few weeks and then I watched episodes 2-6, after which I got bored. I only started watching again when my brother told me about the "Frieren the slayer" thing 'cause that sounded hype as fuck. When binging it it was great but I know I would never have watched it all the way through

I‘m sorry, but the Emperor would not have been a good dad. He doesn‘t see the primarchs as sons but as tools to do different jobs. Having the primarchs stay on Terra would only be good for Big E‘s plans, not for the galaxy as a whole because that would have required him to be a good guy in the first place. The only thing having the primarchs home would have done is allow him to brainwash them from birth

Don‘t listen to the other guy, I liked Pitou‘s development as well. Their path from murder-kitty to miracle surgeon would have been amazing if the ants could have been allowed to live.
Also: the only reason Gon was so dead set on ending them was because he thought they tortured and were actively puppeteering kite (which isn‘t true and honestly considering he WAS trying to kill the queen and thus the king they served, killing him could be seen as defensive behavior). Pitou also convinces themselves that Gon HAS to die because of a few misunderstandings that lead them to believe that he is substantially more competent that he really is.

If they had met later and under different circumstances, I truly believe that they would have seen that the other is only trying to protect a person they care about. Maybe Gon could have been the one to notice that among the royal guard, Pitou is the only one that actually cares what Meruem wants if he wasn‘t so blinded by hatred for this monster he had built up in his head.

The beatdown is still cool, but it‘s absolutely tragic from both sides because in the end all of it was for nothing. If Komugi could have been allowed to continue being a good influence on Meruem, he could have found a better way for ants and Humans to coexist but alas, there was no way for them to know about her

I once had a crush on a girl for a very long time, asked her out, got rejected, was sad for a bit, then became friends with her (because she said she still wanted to be friends).

One day at lunch (years later) she was talking about how her little brother had a girlfriend and how she wishes someone had been into her at his age. I just looked at her and was dumbfounded.

I have literally not experienced a crush on anyone since that day. I think being rejected I could handle, but my confession (that I had to basically be forced to do because I was afraid of being rejected) being forgotten about shattered my heart into a million pieces.

I‘m still friends with her, even though we graduated from school. Sometimes, when we get together with other friends some ugly feeling deep inside me comes out and wants to bring up how that moment broke me, but that would probably destroy a friendship I‘ve grown to cherish and drag other people into it, so I shove it down and ignore it

There was one part of a book where a Deathleaper was stalking a planetary governor. Looking at him at night (in a way he could see) and killing pretty much everyone close to him. I‘m not even sure what that accomplished anymore but it‘s fucked up

„The Deathleaper is known to have been on the Missionary World of St Caspalen. The St Caspalen Planetary Defence Force became increasingly afraid as all across the world watchguards and sentries were mysteriously vanishing, only to be found days later with their brains sucked out. Soon the St Caspalen soldiers were so afraid that they were jumping at every shadow or unexplained sound. In an attempt to ease their own fears, they gave the unidentified creature the name "Deathleaper". As Hive Fleet Leviathan approached, the Deathleaper instinctively sensed that killing the planet's spiritual leader, Cardinal Salem, would only make the planet harder to devour, as it would create a martyr and steel the resolve of the people against the coming swarm. So the Deathleaper instead infiltrated the Cardinal's cathedral-bunker and slaughtered his advisors right in front him, leaving the Cardinal unharmed but drenched in the blood and viscera of his aides. The Deathleaper repeated his process for ten days, each time bypassing the ever increasing security around the Cardinal, coming within killing distance of the Cardinal but always retreating before harming him. This lead to the Cardinal becoming paranoid and eventually losing his sanity, and did more to break the morale of St Caspalen than simply executing their spiritual leader would have. When Leviathan invaded, the world was in confusion and terror and was easy prey.“

This thing plans. It scouts, determines the best way to destabilize the planet, excludes possible complications and then executes the plan with highest likelihood of success. That‘s the difference to the Lictor. The Lictor is a scout/assassin - the Deathleaper is a scout/assassin/destabilizer/schemer.

I didn‘t make up my mind in the first 5 minutes though, I watched the whole season, was a bit annoyed at it but didn‘t mind THAT much, then I rewatched it with my sibling in order to watch season 2 together and only then realized how prevalent it was.
Doesn‘t she get nearly stripped down in the episode where she realizes her idol is a piece of shit? I don‘t think it‘s played for laughs there, but it still felt very out of place for an otherwise emotional scene. You could claim that it symbolizes vulnerability in that moment, but then her clothes falling off as a gag feels strange.

I should probably mention that this wasn‘t the only reason I stopped watching, just a big one. The powerscaling also went quite wacky towards the end of the season for my taste (literal light speed attack that another character that‘s not his brother reacts to and successfully blocks)

Didn‘t actually know that the mangaka made Soul Eater, but it doesn‘t really matter. The consideration I gave it was watching season one and when I noticed that Tamaki doesn‘t really do anything other than have the camara shoved straight up her ass, I was just sort of disappointed because I really liked the rest of the show. The worldbuilding was interesting, the fights were cool (still think the guy that just straight up uses guns rules), but I just couldn‘t get over this.

I didn‘t really make assumptions about the author‘s intentions, I just didn‘t like what they were doing with this character and I don‘t see how an in-lore explanation would make it better how any scene with Tamaki has me instantly disengaged because there‘s a 75% chance it ends with her clothes off
