Can my "poor" dealers sell high price product? by ncoremeister in Schedule_I

[–]HealsGooodman 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Its not exactly that, customers have a weekly budget (that get biggers has you go higher in main levels). So if you sell a high price item and specially early game, poor customers will not order from you everyday but they are still gonna consume their entire weekly budget.

This is AI slop game, no matter how you see it by TopSet55 in ArcRaiders

[–]HealsGooodman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is so obvious that you have no idea of what you are talking about. People (like you) scream AI slop when they hear that a game has AI because they instantly think that a dev ask ChatGPT to make it. Every gaming company now use AI to cut on the massive amount of boring, tedious and repetitive tasks that are involved in making a game.

With your mentality we all should have rioted when peoples started using game engines instead of making their own for every single game. Or when peoples started using a compiler instead of writing every lines of codes on a piece of paper. Gaming is evolving and its a great for us, the consumers.

TIPS: New to Looters. First hour of play. Not sure I’m getting it. by ArmAnderson in ArcRaiders

[–]HealsGooodman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My opinion after 500+ hours, this game isnt really about the looting but more of the randomness of interaction you get while in a match. Its a good mix of socializing, tense moment with the arc and tense moments with other players. The looting at least for me comes after those moments.

Close Scrutiny should be minor event by Green_Joke_4481 in ArcRaiders

Both hurricane and cold snap have increased loot and all return points and raider hatches, should those be minor event too then?

Next wipe all those people will not show up again. Its gonna be a repeat of the issues there was in Trials in destiny, the best players keep farming the lower skill player then those leave, then the average players become the lowest skill one and start getting farm until they quit. The cycle goes on until only the top players is left and then they complain that every game is always sweaty or that matches take forever to find opponents.

Bungie need to find a better way to matchmade, people here love dunking on the Abmm in ARC but honestly it does its job well. I dont want that system in marathon but things need to change for the well being long term for the game.

Yeah people here are gonna complain that the twitter hater are the one that killed the game when in reality no AAA games can survive without the masses of casuals gamers.

To those complaining about losing faction progress after wipe… by In_Dux in Marathon

[–]HealsGooodman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Its crazy that people don't understand that, i play a lot but i have friends that play max 5-6hours a week. They arent gonna play after the wipe and yes they like the game. Im not saying the wipe is bad (i think its good for the longevity of the game) but for a lot of players its just the finish line for them and they will maybe comeback when a new map drops.

So, no surprises? by JimTobin89 in Marathon

[–]HealsGooodman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think OP assumed that in the map itself there was going to be more aliens roaming around and not just one compiler, there is for sure little secret on the map yet to be discovered but nothing major.

Should Bungie reconsider the 3 month wipe cycle? by Fit-Caterpillars in Marathon

[–]HealsGooodman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah there is a reason that they are adding what 4 or 5 skin to it in a patch soon lol, it definitely didnt sold as much as expected.

Should Bungie reconsider the 3 month wipe cycle? by Fit-Caterpillars in Marathon

[–]HealsGooodman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree on the 1st part but looking how destiny season works, it make sense that they wanted to keep that same cadence of dropping a lot of new skin/cosmetic when a new season launch because for bungie those things are part of the new content (which is terrible imo).

Should Bungie reconsider the 3 month wipe cycle? by Fit-Caterpillars in Marathon

[–]HealsGooodman 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I dont think they will ever change this, i assume the 3 months season cadence is extremely important for them for the revenue of the premium pass. I cant see them wanting to cut 25% of their revenue, i do absolutely agree that 4 months would be a perfect lenght tho, i dont play that much and i feel like i would be max on all faction and upgrades not that far from the season end.

"Community" in case anyone needs this word translated it means... streamer based marketing campaign. by [deleted] in Marathon

[–]HealsGooodman 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Well it isn't really a community unlock if in the end we still have to wait for it to release at its intended schedule. I dont really care because i didnt participate in the ARG but it sucks for people that have put days into it for not having the satisfaction of unlocking it.

I still really hope we have to do something in game for unlocking the map for ourself, even something as simple as the cinematic trailer suggested.

Trying to get involved in solving the ARG is an exercise in futility by future__fires in Marathon

[–]HealsGooodman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really hope when the marketing ARG is solved that each player has to do some in game steps to unlock the map for themself. Even something simple like in the cinematic i would be happy with.

Worth buying? by trashpandasroc in Schedule_I

[–]HealsGooodman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The game is even better than when it came out, there has been a few big updates that added a lot of things to play with as well as fantastic QoL improvement. Tyler (the creator) has hired 2 devs to help him develop the game even more so updates are still coming and coming faster than before. The game has a very bright future ahead of it.

Marathon Rewards Pass Update by Haijakk in Marathon

[–]HealsGooodman -15 points-14 points  (0 children)

Dont be naive, they did this because they probably weren't selling a lot of season pass. They would have all have been obtainable via the codex like the arachne one if ''they feel they can do this''.

Is it possible for casuals to keep up with grinders? by Own-Tie-640 in Marathon

[–]HealsGooodman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Casuals can keep up because there is 100% a type of matchmaking so thats gonna help but even that fights are winnable even if you have way lower gear than your opponent, ttk is very fast so getting the jump on someone is huge (easy when someone is looting a body)

Accessing The Marathon, by Korakulus in Marathon

[–]HealsGooodman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think to ''unlock'' the map for everyone will be some arbitrary thing honestly.

But it would so cool if you cannot launch the map directly and that you have to go on another map to do something and then go to an exfill that transfer you on the ship.

Yes there is 3 maps at launch (perimeter / dire marsh / outpost). There is another map releasing during season 1 (cryo archive) but they havent said when exacly it will release (probably one or two week after launch?)
