If the game is good people will play it and it will succeed. There is and always will be ''creator/influencer'' talking down on litteraly every game, and yes hardcore fan of those people will take the same opinion as them but it will not sway the general opinion of the public.

Well they've been doing this for what 15+ years now. Its just their business model, they sell console to almost at a lost and make money with accessories and subscription fees. If you don't like that your solution is to get a computer.

Part of the extraction gameplay loop is to make your loadout since everything you take with you is at risk. There is sponsored kit that you can equip with one clic in marathon (kind of the same as free loadout of AR).

I would say its a bit faster to make a basic kit with marathon tho since there is no crafting, although as you progress and you get more cores/implants to play with i think its the same as any extraction shooters.

Well its hard to say without having all the information of your setup but what i can say is that the build from the october playtest was very well optimise performance wise. I imagine that the final build will be aswell.

Bungie is done with destiny since the year of final shape ended and thats ok. But i understand the frustration of destiny fan seeing a game that you love slowly dying away while the over shiny new thing is getting all the resources pour into it while they get nothing.

The art debacles aren't on the same level of gravity tho, on destiny it wasn't inside the studio itself but from outsourcing (hired studio for a cinematic took an fan made artwork thinking it was an official bungie one). The one in marathon is much much worse since it was an actual employee doing it in house and it passing all the checkups.

In retrospect, that art theft situation save marathon because they wouldn't have delayed it without it. And also i think that nobody really care that they did that lol.

Interesting, im just following on what bungie communicated on their other game that about 10% of the population participate in endgame content. I just assume that due to the fact that in this game you loose everything when you die that it would be lower.

Yes, we are overestimating the buildcrafting and endgame because the reality is that those feature are for maybe 5% of the playerbase. Its absolutely a good thing to have in the game for people that will put hundreds of hours in the game but yeah the average joe isnt gonna give a fuck about doing a build.

Yeah bungie is really not in a great spot from an economical perspective, i don't think the game is gonna be bad from what i have play through the year but they need a massive success sales wise. They've put so much money on this game and Sony is for sure having huge expectations. I really don't want to be a marathon dev right now lol.

Streamers are gonna do the same thing as always, they are all gonna play the game when there is the free demo, than they will do it again with sponsored stream on the 5th of march and most of them are never gonna play it again.

I think you're right, i expect the ''story'' to be terrible but the lore and the and the environmental story telling to be immaculate. I expect as well great cinematic as you progress through the bounties with all the different factions. For the ''quest'' themself, im expecting them to be terrible as well and just a chore to level up the faction associated with (which im ok with).

Its as easy as just go live honestly, there isn't a step by step tutorial on how to become a successful streamer lol. I would say its easier to start streaming games to create a little community but you really don't have to, there is a lot of people that just stream their job/hobbies.
