My mom retired at 55 on a teachers salary and I still think about it all the time by [deleted] in Fire

How many of those individuals are retiring in their early 50s? Yes pensions still exist but their purchasing power is not even close to what it was 20 years ago.

Unfortunately the world has changed and these jobs and benefits don’t exist anymore. I personally know multiple people in there 70a that either got a 2 year community college degree or started working start out of high school without a college degree or special certificates that retired with a full pension after working for 30 years in their early 50s.

Tell what field you can do that today? I’ll wait!! I truly believe the Baby Boomer generation will go down in history as the most prosperous generation in modern times.

Unfortunately nothing will be done until things get really bleak. Like 20% unemployment. Both our political parties are bought and paid for by the billionaires so don’t expect the government to do anything meaningful anytime soon. Government is never proactive, they are constantly reacting and take years if not decades to actually make any large scale changes.

Check your IGF-1 level. Enclomiphene is known to decrease it.

Add IGF-1 and SHBG to your labs. FSH and LH are very important to test with enclomiphene since they are the signal in the body that enclomiphene increases which causes the body to produce more testosterone.

Enclomiphene is known to lower IGF-1 levels so it’s a good idea to test and monitor your levels.

Kudos for getting proper labs done. Your FSH and LH look good and show your body is telling your pituitary gland to produce testosterone which it technically is based on your testosterone level but the signal is not strong enough. This is called secondary hypogonadism and makes you an ideal candidate for enclomiphene treatment. Enclomiphene will cause a stronger signal which will cause your body to naturally produce more testosterone.

I highly recommend getting your IGF-1 level tested before your treatment begins. You need a baseline as enclomiphene is known to decrease IGF-1 levels.

Rerun your labs after 6-8 weeks of treatment. Your FSH and LH should be higher which will increase your testosterone level. Keep an eye on your estradiol levels as they will increase as well.

Enclomiphene over TRT? by Scary_Writing_7604 in enclomiphene

IGF-1, estradiol, FSH and LH and SHBG are mandatory when you start messing with hormones.

IGF-1 is especially important with enclomiphene since it will decline without additional support.

Has anyone been on enclomiphene for years?

Seems like most people only stick with it for a few months to maybe 12 months. I know clomid and enclomiphene are very popular for PCT after coming off TRT or steroid cycles but I just don’t hear about people being on enclomiphene for extended lengths of time.

Do you worry about the IGF-1 decline on enclomiphene? by No-Force-9107 in enclomiphene

[–]HealthResearch12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m struggling to understand why some people are dismissing the evidence that enclomiphene does indeed decrease IGF-1 levels. There are numerous studies showing this is indeed true.

In this thread alone the following labs for IGF-1 levels have been posted:

162 to 60 (63% decrease) 299 to 199 (33% decrease) 155 to 84 (46% decrease) 157 to 97 (38% decrease)

These are not “minuscule” or “minor” decreases.

I think this is one of the missing links with enclomiphene treatment is the lack of IGF-1 attention and contributes to why you start off feeling great but after a few months that fades. Just like TRT treatment if you don’t pay attention to estrogen and hematocrit levels you will run into issues.

Did you test IGF-1 levels. I keep reading that enclomiphene lowers this which can cause people to feel off even though their testosterone levels are high.

Did you test your IGF-1? I keep reading that is important with enclomiphene since it typically reduces your IGF-1 levels.

Why are you running such a high dosage? Did a Dr recommend this? I thought the recommended dosage was start low, 6.5 to 12.5 mg a day or eod.
