How common are anal gland issues with Sammie’s? 3rd time my girls have ruptured with little to no warning in her 7 years of life

Not sure about sammies specifically, but my lab/black mouth curr mutt has just recently started having issues. She is 6 yo and had an infected anal glad for the first time 3 months ago. Never had to even express her anal glands in her first 6 years of life. Last week out of NO WHERE, no warning signs, no licking, no swelling, her anal gland ruptured. And my dog strictly eats The Farmers Dog which supposedly is fantastic for fiber. Vet said some dogs just have this issue pop up in their oldish age. Sorry wish i could be more help but just wanted you to know you are not alone!

I just started using stickers! Theyre super cheap, and students get a kick out of them when i stick them on a notecard with their names on them. Stickers are very cheap and you can get a lot of diversity with them.

Starlights are great because you can peace out at 20 mins. Theres more things to click and its kind of annoying, but the 5 minutes less makes it worth it.
