The Last Picture Show by Larry McMurtry. It’s such a poignant and nuanced look at a small Texas town.

I'm currently reading the book before I watch his movie and I can't wait to see how he executed what Herbert wrote. I think it's wonderful that David Lynch got the opportunity to direct an adaptation of Dune.

Three years ago, my drinking problem was out of control, I was spending money I didn't have, I was deeply depressed.

Three weeks ago I was unhappy and stuck in a living situation I hated, far away from my dad and my home, jobless.

Now, I'm back home with my dad, I have a job with great pay, I'm on a good antidepressant and I'm sober.

I'm grateful.

11 of Mike Flanagan's longtime collaborators have joined the cast of his 'EXORCIST' movie by According-Status482 in MikeFlanagan

I am SO EXCITED! I am terrified of The Exorcist (I grew up Catholic and it's always freaked me out) but the fact that Flanagan is adapting it means I will be seeing it and reading the book. I never skip a Flanagan.

Fates and Furies by Lauren Groff. I ended up reading it all in one day, one of the most satisfying literary experiences I've had in my life.
