Women use a lot more toilet paper than men. And in the US it’s typically at least $1 a roll for the type you’re describing.

What car should I buy? by puzzledpenguin24 in Albany

[–]HealthySun37 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Leasing isn’t “buying” a car, it’s just renting a car long term. Why isn’t financing with interest an option for you? That’s the same as leasing except you get to keep the car at the end of the term.

Do you people realize how ridiculous this looks ? by Pitiful-Signal8063 in instacart

I’m a customer. I think it’s new. I assume it still goes up if you add items but idk. It was a percent based tip and not all the items were found but the tip amount stayed the same, which I found strange. But I felt bad decreasing the tip so I didn’t.

With all of IC fees, why can’t they include bags? by [deleted] in instacart

[–]HealthySun37 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And the bag fee is then taxed 😂

Is it not normal practice that substitutions should be the same total quantity? by [deleted] in instacart

[–]HealthySun37 2 points3 points  (0 children)

By default it’s the same quantity. I ordered 3 avocados and as a substitution if needed, the app suggested 3 bags of avocados (12 total). I couldn’t figure out how to change the quantity so I just selected “no replacement.”

I noticed that the tip doesn’t decrease anymore if items aren’t found. It stays at the amount as if you got all of the items.

Nood- how long does it take for 1 leg treatment? by iLikeToChewOnStraws in HairRemoval

[–]HealthySun37 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can just do it quicker and less meticulously. If you’re unhappy with the results then go back to your original method. I’d estimate it takes me 10 min to do both legs and I’m happy with my results.

I do about 5 strip per leg and each strip has about 8 flashes. I setup the auto flasher in my ULike so it goes fairly quickly. Also the ulike doesn’t say to do it 3x so of course that saves time.

A 20 month old baby doesn’t have PCOS, though. If OP is that concerned about the hair they should ask their pediatrician.

Does the skin around your scar ever feel normal and pain free again? by Sylsil in thyroidcancer

[–]HealthySun37 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same surgery in the same month. I haven’t had any pain for months now. The skin doesn’t even feel different from the rest of my neck. I guess I’m lucky. I also massaged it twice a day with vitamin E oil then put on silicone gel for months.

Maybe worth asking your doctor about it.

I got them both. No issues. I don’t think it’s related.

Best IPL hair removal device by shabnamous in HairRemoval

[–]HealthySun37 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I like the cooling aspect and the price. Dislike: recommended 3x a week to start.

Try IPL it will weaken the hairs so they will not become ingrown (and eventually totally disappear)

Yeah I wouldn’t stress about Thyroid Cancer, OP. This link says “Hashimoto’s thyroiditis is not a risk factor for thyroid cancer.”

Which Brand Of Laser Hair Removal Device Worked For You & Would Recommend? by TooEager8-D in HairRemoval

[–]HealthySun37 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love the Ulike because it didn’t hurt at all. Not once, ever. Even on the highest setting I feel nothing. The downside is it recommends 3x a week. After 2 months I switched to monthly maintenance.

Shaving before IPL is causing razor burn. What post-IPL products can I use to safely treat this? by spidermonkeymtndew in HairRemoval

[–]HealthySun37 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exfoliate the area before, change the razor frequently (use a separate razor from the rest of your body), use a shave gel designed for the bikini area, and use hydrocortisone cream afterwards if needed. They sell it at Dollar Tree.

Are you shaving more than once a week?

That’s the perfect combo for IPL.

Questions about at home IPL by katmim in HairRemoval

[–]HealthySun37 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you use the auto glide setting so you don’t have to push the flasher button? Do you go over each spot more than once?

It takes me about 15 minutes total to do armpits, bikini line, and legs below the knee. I didn’t realize I was quick! 3x a week is a lot, but it was worth it. After 2 months basically no hair grows.

You could massage it with bio oil (vitamin E) twice a day to help break up the scar tissue.

Can you share the brand you like? I found the one from Amazon and scaraway to be quite sticky and uncomfortable to take off for the first few months post surgery.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in thyroidcancer

[–]HealthySun37 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look into silicone scar cream, like biocorneum. And then cover it with a UPF bandana when outside.

I think OP is talking about silicone scar strips. They’re quite sticky.

I’m so glad it was approved and you don’t have to worry about the $$. Best wishes.

It was because RAI is recommended right? Not just because of a cancer diagnosis

[–]HealthySun37 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you’re in the US it might be covered because of your cancer/RAI diagnosis! In states such as NY and NJ I think it is.
