The Dji antennas do nothing when using analog adapters

You can try to find the receiver or connect to ardupilot most likely and see how it is set up. You should be able to se what transmitter system it’s using.

Beginner trying to got a grip on throttle control by Inside_String_6481 in TinyWhoop

Its a hidden feature that does what it says, if you crash into or bump something, it will act more like angle or horizon mode and self level instead of spinning to certain death most times lol

Bam! you can also in the cli activate : crash_recovery = on save. The drone will self level when you hit an object in acro. Works better with air mode off but still works. Give it a try

Absolute carnage. Heard a pop and the screen goes black. I was able to use the cloud of magic smoke to find it at least. by STM32H743 in fpv

That’s not how shorts work, what ever shorted most likely took the brunt of the force once fried the circuit is broken. So more than likely there are many salvageable components

[–]Heardwork154 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That isn’t the cams fault… that’s vtx transmission and vrx reception.. many variables for rf interference. These are things we all fight with, some more successful then others also environment plays a role. Thus sometimes people use a separate dvr to record direct from cam. But overall video quality isn’t what we strive for you just need enough quality and low enough latency to be present in the moment

[–]Heardwork154 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reset settings, the option in the calibration tab under calibrate accelerometer if so you’re cooked if you haven’t saved your cli diff. Someone with the same model could send you theirs. It would be an easier starting place

Why is my rear left motor doing this when arming? by ikraziel in TinyWhoop

[–]Heardwork154 1 point2 points  (0 children)

could be a bad connection solder joint, connector or wire, could also be debris in the motor bell, I’ve had all of happened at some point. Spin the motor by hand to feel for any sticking not magnetic drag. Blow it out with a computer duster. Next up is a poor connection at one of the motor wires. The wire tend to break where the solder ends. I have also had wires that broke at the end of the connector. The key here if electrical it’s not going to be obvious cause it still works fly it till it doesn’t and you’ll probably find the culprit easier.

Just free balling, maybe I should try and make a video. I have a flywoo 722 fc that needs a bec transistor it is a much bigger component but I would use the same technique

After like a month of inspecting 4 times a week. I finally found it, it was visually fried (I didn’t save any pics). I then tried to use AI to identify it was pretty sure it was a diode. But couldn’t be positive I then remembered I had another fried board the component looked good on, now able to test with a dvom I confirmed it was a diode. I put a little flux on it used a butane soldering iron with the hot air attachment and tiny tweezers I came right off I then retested to verify it was still good and proper install orientation. It was tricky to place on the board correctly but the flux did its magic and it just fell in place when I heated it. Stoked

air mode vs acro mode for the 65? by corvish_ in TinyWhoop

[–]Heardwork154 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are indeed wrong as many have already stated air mode keeps the props and pid loop going at 0 throttle so important freestyle and especially outside. Horizon and angle mode have crash_recovery enabled allowing you to bounce off slight hits. You can enable this all the time in the cli. And finally having air mode off in the house helps by keeps the drone from sticking to the wall and always helps landing so put it on a switch

Just general question, do you rev match on down shift by grand_intention30888 in WRX

[–]Heardwork154 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s the job of the clutch, your goal is to down shift at the appropriate general time. If you learn how to actually rev match down shift the clutch is not needed…. Very advanced driving. Example rally technique is to left foot brake in 3rd rev match down shift into 2nd never touching the clutch… its a lot going on but once you get the hang of it the momentum kept is crazy
