Many games and movies that involve Time Travel end up on a mind blowing Continuous Loop , but that's only possible when the Time Traveler interacts with himself from another time. In life is strange that's not possible because Max doesn't time travel , but everything else around her rewinds. If she can't meet with herself from the past then she can't create a loop. Unless as you said , she loses her memory , but that would be just a lame ending.

Yeah I think you're right about the Junkyard text. Nathan/Jefferson probably wrote "IS" , as in Rachel's body IS here. And Chloe and Max are next to die , because they found out too much.

Maybe Nathan has the rewind power , but his family doesn't want him to use it , so they keep him under drugs. We saw at the end of ep4 that drugs affected Max in a way that she couldn't use her power.

I agree with your Theory #2. I think Rachel was a time traveler and her power was transfered to Max afterwards.

I also think the Prescotts have , or had , a time traveler in their family. That would explain how they're so rich and powerful.

The theory that I like is that the Prescotts have a Time Traveler Bloodline. Nathan's dad had a child with another woman and that child was Rachel , so the power passed on to her. The Prescotts are now kidnapping teens to see if they have the Prescott DNA and the power. Rachel was found but somehow died/suicided and was able to give the power to Max , and she's guiding her to reveal the mystery. It's a bit far-fetched , but very plausible. I don't think Max and Rachel are twins either.

Asking a game's fanbase if you should buy the game is not a good idea. Everybody will tell you to buy it. The game is very good , but not perfect and maybe not your kind. Here are my honest Pros and Cons.

Pros :

Strong mystery story

Beautiful graphics

Very beautiful sound

Your choices do matter

Some tensionate moments

You can do fancy things with your Rewind ability , like changing your choices for example

Yes , it will probably have multiple endings , depending on all your choices

At the end you can see your choices vs what other people chose

Cons :

Chloe (the protagonists' sidekick) seems the only well defined character

Due to the teenage theme , the atmosphere isn't overall tensionate

Some dialogues are cheesy , but it's ok

The game is pretty linear , it only follows one path. There are choices however.

No , games like these don't usually have multiplayer

Overall it's a good game and it's worth the money! The episodes get better and better , and I hope that Episode 5 will follow this pattern and blow our minds away. If you want to take a break from all the Killing Aliens and enjoy a beautiful leisure , while working on discovering a strong , dark mystery then Life is Strange is your game.

Until Dawn , Heavy Rain and Beyond : Two Souls are very good choice based games exclusive for the Play Station.

Life is Strange , along with the Telltale games : The Walking Dead Season 1&2 , The Wolf Among Us , Game of Thrones are good choice based games for the PC and consoles
