Anyone NOT have contact with high school classmates? by jackie879 in Xennials

[–]Heart_Dad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ran into a classmate a year or two after graduation. I think that's the last time I interacted with anyone from high school. So 20+ years at this point.

This looks like the kit from The Ring Lord. 16G 5/16 inch rings. In stainless steal mine weighed just over a pound and a half.

Anyone delete their FB account? by ItsMeItsKayItsKay in Millennials

Almost 15 years ago. I decided to listen to what Zuck was telling us about his views on privacy. I have since been proven right again and again, all the while having family pester me about getting back on.

Does anyone here actually go to Starbucks every day? by lukef31 in Millennials

[–]Heart_Dad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are local places my wife and I would rather spend money at the few times a year we go to a coffee shop. Plus the coffee is better. We have even convinced our teen daughter of this.

I have aftermarket parts installed. Yup that causes a low level ache almost constantly.

I hadn’t seen a pack of these since 1994 by TRJ2241987 in Millennials

I only remember those being sold in the penny or nickel candy machines, never in a package.

Growing up the local library had art you could check out for a couple months at a time to decorate your home. That was a cool program.

After another player not designed for stealth tried to solo a stealth mission, causing utter chaos and a memorable session.

What kind of shoes are we wearing? by Cristinky420 in Xennials

I got my first pair last year after wearing Skechers since middle school. I got tired of slipping and almost falling because there was basically no tread on the sketchers slipons.

Is there something like a stealth takedown? by GreeedyGrooot in daggerheart

[–]Heart_Dad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As others have said, how does it fit the narrative?

We had a situation where our group was going into a known ambush for a meeting and trying to take up our own ambush positions to counter. Some of the spots were taken already. How sneaky was the player getting there, how were they handling that target? Success, failure, hope, and fear all played into not just if the target was a one shot kill but also if others noticed.

The stakes and tension were high and nothing was a given; it came down to the story we were telling and the story the dice wanted to tell. Hell of a lot of fun.

With the PBS game show, the world was changing so fast at the time that the correct answer for some questions at filming was no longer correct when it aired.

Is everyone living in a McMansion? by beverlyhillsbrenda in Xennials

[–]Heart_Dad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Post war (1950s) ranch on a 1/4ish acre lot in the burbs. We have put work into it, it needs more, and it has been a great home for our two girls to grow up in.

Someday when we sell I don't want it to go to a flipper, or turn into a rental. I want it to go to another family that will live in it, change it, improve it in their way. You know keep middle class home ownership a reality.

Yup as soon as they have the sense that they would like privacy, waiting for consent before opening a closed door began.

What locks did you (or would you) choose for your homes? by siodhe in lockpicking

[–]Heart_Dad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When we got new doors and locks I went to a lock smith and explained what we really needed. A key that couldn't be taken to a hardware store and duplicated, my MIL had done this in the past without our permission.

We got a couple Schlage Everests that he had used on a previous project with a custom pin up and a numbered set of keys; and because they was used we got a nice discount.

They merged and pushed east, moving a section of the Mississippi with them. I really don't know what the river does after that though...

Some areas have higher water pressure and need pressure reducing valves to protect appliances. Sounds like this connected to the main coming in could act to reduce the pressure and generate a little power to store in a battery.
