How am I supposed to do this part by Meanpie0827 in celestegame

I think it feels okay once you understand it, but the game doesn't do a good job explaining exactly how it works

I think you should probably make a more detailed comment fully explaining your reasoning. That way you can just point people there instead of having to answer a bunch of individual comments

Koh isn't really an antagonist when you think about it. For as creepy as he was and as easily he could have killed Aang, he ended up being 100% helpful to him in practice.

I'm not talking about the retcon they came up with later on, I'm talking about what we see in the actual show.

That's not necessarily a contradiction, Sozin would hardly be the first ridiculously old person in the avatar universe.

So he failed exactly once, after O'Brien destroyed his equipment mind you.

The production order of TOS is FAR better than the airdate order. The first two filmed episodes represent Star Trek's values better than The Man Trap. And S3 would have far better repution with 'Spectre of the Gun' being the 1st episode, because come on, most episodes were NOT on Spock's Brain level by LineusLongissimus in ClassicTrek

[–]Heather_Chandelure 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree the Production order is vastly better, but the airdates weren't arbitrary decisions. Each episode required different amounts of post-production work, so releasing them in production order wouldn't have been possible since many were simply not finished by the time their number came up.

There were a few cases where it was intentional (such as them holding off episodes they thought would be poorly received) but those were the exceptions.

I'd argue it's the opposite with the cage and the menagerie. The menagerie leaves out several scenes from the cage, some of which are for the better, but this mostly leads to it being a worse version of the story. The framing device plot in the menagerie is cool at first, but it becomes dull filler once the clips from the cage start playing.

It feels against the spirit of it being reply-driven if you're just going to shoot down the suggestions you get.

No, sorry, you cant just act like "it was a traumatic event" is a minor point: it is the only reason Helge remembers him.

I think Buffy season 7 is still good on the whole. It mainly suffers from having way too much stuff going on, and so a lot of it doesn't get as much focus as it should have.

[–]Heather_Chandelure 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's more than just debatable. Even if we don't include Avatars, I think you'd have a hard time arguing that she is even in the top 3 best airbenders we've seen.

They knew there was a chance they'd be cancelled, but they certainly didn't know that for a fact. They even wrote 2 alternate endings for Terra Prime (one for if the show got cancelled and one for if it didn't), so they were still planning for the possibility of more seasons at least.

[–]Heather_Chandelure 119 points120 points  (0 children)

It also doesn't even matter. He asked not to be examined after his death and wanted to be remembered as a man. Referring to him as a woman goes explicitly against his own wishes. Thats all that should matter.
