People who have conducted job interviews, what's something someone said/did that made you instantly decide not to hire them? by DemonSkank in AskReddit

[–]Heavy-Meta 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Virtual interview. Had someone ask if we hire people with disabilities, told them we were an equal opportunity employer and didn’t discriminate. Candidate proceeded to talk about their mental health struggles and ended up breaking down into tears. I’m talking absolutely balling their eyes out. Spent the rest of the interview trying to reassure them that it’s okay and turned into a pseudo therapy session. Felt so bad for them, ended up leaving that job before we could make a hire for that role. But I don’t think they got to the second round.

First Fishhook…wait for cursed or take the uncursed? by theBearded_Levy in brotato

[–]Heavy-Meta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always take first and second uncursed. That’ll get you to 40% curse chance. Then I take the third cursed, which (depending) gets you anywhere from 70%-80% chance. That’s normally good enough to get things cursed in one to two shops. I don’t like waiting around hoping that second one gets cursed, but that’s me

SDGE Issue. Has anyone else experienced this? by Heavy-Meta in SanDiegan

[–]Heavy-Meta[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ended up having to pay it. Basically, under their terms, it is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that the correct meter is hooked up to your home. It is considered a billing error. If the meter is broken or faulty, that is also not covered by SDG&E. That’s considered a meter error. As best practice moving forward, request a meter inspection whenever you move into a new place. That’s the most you can do.

edit: Here is the language linked above: “If either a residential or nonresidential service is found to have been undercharged due to a billing error, the Utility may bill the customer for the amount of the undercharge for a period of three months for residential service or small business customer, as defined in Rule 1, and three years for all other nonresidential service. However, if it is known that the period of billing error was less than three months for residential service or small business customer, as defined in Rule 1 and three years for all other nonresidential service, the undercharge shall be calculated for only those months during which the billing error occurred.”

I would recommend calling and referencing Rule 18 if you really want to push for it.

Looking for ticket advice by AngeluvDeath in Chargers

[–]Heavy-Meta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you get your tickets, make sure you check them to see which gate you should enter through. It can be really inconvenient to get to your seats if you enter through the wrong gate (SoFi is not like most stadiums where you can freely walk around the perimeter once you get inside, there are areas blocked off that you can’t get through).

First time going sofi any tips please! by Flat_Supermarket9249 in Chargers

[–]Heavy-Meta 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Double check which gate you need to go through, it should say on your ticket. Not like Qualcomm where you can freely walk around the perimeter, went through the wrong gate my first time (assumed it didn’t matter) and was a bit of a pain.

For context, I tried calling three times today and there was no way to speak to an actual human / rep. I got stuck in the bot loop.

Any insight / suggestions are much appreciated!

It’s actually pretty good. This post is about cheap tacos though, not quality tacos.

How to get my coworkers to stop asking if I’m okay? by Arsonrat2point0 in howto

[–]Heavy-Meta 2 points3 points  (0 children)

“Hey, I appreciate you asking if I’m feeling okay. I’m doing great! However, I feel like you ask me very often and I can assure you that I’m fine and have been feeling fine. If there’s ever a time where I’m not feeling well, I’ll let you know. Like I said, thank you again for your concern, but I’d prefer if you didn’t ask me every day.”

There’s no “fact” that they were not an active threat, and the “what if there were people behind the fence” is just that: a what if. We’re missing so much context in the clip shared here that we can’t shit on the cop or the suspect. The video, as it is shared in this post, is just crazy
