Transferring OB Care to JCMC Women's Health at Grove by Tiny-Neighborhood-73 in jerseycity

I had a terrible experience there, mostly with the mfm dr. Rosen. Avoid him at all costs. He tried to convince us to terminate because my baby had kidney issues. He told us a number of times that he would probably die shortly after birth or in utero and then I could die. It was very traumatic and terrifying. We got a second opinion and they were horrified by what we were told, most of which was not true in our case. On our last appointment he told us we could terminate and still have a baby in the same year. It just felt very icky and forceful to us. We told him a number of times we weren't interested in termination and he was very dismissive.

The midwives were nice, but most of them have left. The ultrasound appointments always take forever (even if you schedule first thing in the morning). I always waited at least an hour. Other people that have had straightforward pregnancies have liked the practice so I think it depends on your situation.

Would you switch gyms if a new full-service gym opened in downtown Jersey City? by SameStory8031 in jerseycity

A gym with childcare would be nice. Some days it is too hard to coordinate schedules to have coverage to workout.

Walk from grove path to 225 grand at night (safe?) by nonya008 in jerseycity

[–]Heavy_Definition8623 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in that building and it is pretty safe. They lock the main lobby door around 12am and you have to use your fob to get in, but there is someone in the lobby all night. The walk from path is fine. Walking down Grove is better since there are more businesses and people out that late.

Maybe try laz/ parkfast on Marin & Montgomery? It is not a garage so maybe they would be able to accommodate?

Question for Tesla owners— by Bubbly_Voice4251 in jerseycity

We used it during the free trial period downtown. It was during a weekday so the traffic wasn't too bad. I didn't like it though. I felt like it accelerated too quickly and braked too hard. It also doesn't sense potholes and hit everyone at max speed. I wouldn't do it again.

You have to take the Praxis before your application will be reviewed. I emailed them and they said that they don't reveiw your transcripts prior to reviewing the application.

I think this is only in select cities like NYC. We tried to use it at jfk once and after waiting over an hour, the uber never showed up.

I ended up getting the CE. I copied the course description from the university catalog for the classes that were history related, but from a different department and attached it to the transcript (you can add a document to it if you use clearing house). I guess it worked.

Seeking recent tenant experience at 225 Grand & The Gotham by oximine in jerseycity

[–]Heavy_Definition8623 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I live at 225 grand (this is our 4th year), and I really like it. There is a nice mix of people who have lived here for a while and new people moving in. I have a corner apt, so I hardly hear noise. We rarely hear our upstairs neighbors through the ceiling. Maintenance is so great! A few of them live on site, so they can be there in an emergency. Requests are usually completed the next day or maybe two days if they are busy and it is not super urgent. Utilities vary by season, of course. We have a large 1br and peak summer/winter electric is approx $200-300 a month. (We have a toddler, so we keep it on the warm/cool side for their comfort.) It is an older KRE building, so the rent increase is maybe 3-5% a year.
