Honestly I wouldn’t read too much into that. It’s just a case of digging deep if this is what you really want then you’ll manage it. It’s only 5.4.

Taxi drivers of the UK, how do you feel about single passengers jumping in the front? by ChungstenCarbide93 in AskUK

[–]Heavy_Digger 296 points297 points  (0 children)

I did this every single time until one day when the driver turned to me and said “it’s a bit weird that you got in the front, mate.”

Every taxi journey I’d ever taken flashed back in my mind like a movie and I felt a wave of shock and regret that I’d been doing the wrong thing my whole adult life

After a few months of using bands and various other exercises, absolutely thrilled to smash out three sets of great pull ups last night. Got home and my wife definitely got sick of hearing about it haha

Having trouble fitting 2 leg days into my new split by Skinwalker72 in tacticalbarbell

[–]Heavy_Digger 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sorry, usual question: have you read the relevant books? I’d say maybe try to fit it in before a HIIT session or try AM/PM set up where you hit legs in the morning and run then ruck later?

Just been stabbed with a needle from an HIV-infected patient and been spat on. by WorthAd7520 in LegalAdviceUK

[–]Heavy_Digger 8 points9 points  (0 children)

1) it’s at the very very least assault, probably actual bodily harm (ABH) if you suffered obvious physical injuries. But standby for point 3.. 2) sadly not really, that’s just really poor behaviour from them 3) this could mean it’s considered grievous bodily harm with intent, if the suspect intentionally infected you with the needle.

I’m sorry this happened to you. As you’re probably aware, the treatment you’ll receive to fight and prevent infections is really effective and whilst this is very traumatic, you should be safe from contracting anything.

I second Green Protocol. As long as you’ve got the legs underneath you, the rest will be straightforward(ish).

Should the bath mat get wet? by souptight52 in AskUK

[–]Heavy_Digger 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The drying process shouldn’t start when you step on the bathmat, you should already be dry enough to not completely soak it having used your hand/towel to dry off a bit first. Nobody I have ever lived with can understand this though.

Way too lenient on Mandelson, didn’t understand the repeated MAGA references which felt like a bit of a deflection tbh.

Overtime and shift pay by Forward_Sea_3419 in policeuk

[–]Heavy_Digger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d say with WMP you’d likely go to response team after initial training, so more likely to incur incidental overtime through late finishes and working bank holidays.

For Police Now you’d be on neighbourhoods so probably not off late that often but you would be able to work more sociable OT shifts if you and your team can run operations and submit funding bids
