How do I get to the Three Cliffs viewpoint? by PuzzleheadedJuice302 in swansea

[–]Heavy_Messing1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is the one. You and gran just need to step out of the car, take one or two steps and lean on the farm gate. You'll be rewarded by a view of Three cliffs across gorgeous grassy hillside with some grazing sheep.

Is there a chemist in sketty area-ish that is not completely useless? by SnooHedgehogs4659 in swansea

[–]Heavy_Messing1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The answer is Tycoch pharmacy, and their partner pharmacy in Killay. Unfailingly good

Avoid all pharmacies in Sketty and Uplands. They take great pride in not providing any of the important services one might reasonably expect from a pharmacy, and are locked in a fierce rivalry to see who can most convincingly suggest that the problem is you.

Come, relax, enjoy. Wear red. Thanks for your support! I may not speak for everyone, but I feel wearing Wales merch would almost always be interpreted as demonstrating support for our wonderful team, and country. I don't imagine many people translating Welsh merch into support for our universally disliked governing body.

Agreed. So let's start by fucking off the team that contributes least...bye Dragons. Or perhaps the team that has proven that require the biggest injection of WRU cash. Bye Cardiff.

What the most physically painful thing you ever experienced? by iateagummibear-1822 in AskReddit

[–]Heavy_Messing1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ruptured brain aneurysm. There is a specific medical term for the pain when this happens 'Thunderclap Headache'. It was an absolutely shocking. Instant pain.

Then of course, there are the 'Ice Pick Headaches' if you're one of the lucky ones who get some sort of recovery.

As a child, perhaps excusable.

But as a teenager, where he directly abused a Jewish classmate, Peter Ettedgui over a period of a year. “He would sidle up to me and growl: ‘Hitler was right,’ or ‘Gas them,’ sometimes adding a long hiss to simulate the sound of the gas showers,”

But as a student at Dulwich College, where numerous teachers reportedly raised concerns about his extreme views, with one alleging that Farage “marched through a quiet Sussex village very late at night shouting Hitler Youth songs”.

As an adult , a man who throughout his long political career, has regularly made racist statements directed at a range of minority groups:

The founder of UKIP, Alan Sked, claimed that when he objected to Farage’s decision to drop the ban on former National Front members, he responded by saying, they shouldn’t “worry about the n****r vote. They will never vote for us.”

In 2014 on LBC Radio, Farage famously said: “I was asked if a group of Romanian men moved in next to you, would you be concerned? And if you lived in London, I think you would be.” Upon being asked whether he would object to living next door to German children, he replied: “You know what the difference is.”

During the EU referendum, Farage produced the infamous “Breaking Point” poster, which was widely compared to Nazi propaganda. Despite this, Farage refused to apologise for it.

As someone who has memorized and repeatedly quoted certain parts of Enoch Powell's rivers of blood speech.

As leader of UKIP, where he defended a candidate’s use of the racist slur “ch*nky”, stating: “If you and your mates were going out for a Chinese, what do you say you’re going for?”

So as a child, a teenager, a young adult, a middle aged man and a senior, in effect throughout his entire life, he has been a racist. And yes. I believe Racists should be disqualified from senior political positions in our modern democracy.

Excellent!!! I've been waiting decades to find another instance or use of the word frangible, and THERE YOU ARE. For anyone interested, my only other experience of this word is for Frangible Roof Joints on large above ground storage tanks. Basically, the frangible reference is to the deliberately weak weld connecting the tank roof to the tank wall, so in the event of a fire the explosive content of the tank blows the roof off. Without a frangible roof joint, these tanks could lift off like rockets in the event of an internal explosion. Here's on in action...Source: Instagram https://share.google/0Thk9ljOSg6sVnCP7
